Post-SAT Dinner, 1st Floor Rec Room, Saturday Afternoon

The SATs had been given in a classroom today, and there was a Student Council dinner afterwards to celebrate the test being over or mourn the likely results. Quinn finished her test a few minutes before time was up and slipped back to the dorms to let in the delivery rickshaw. Even if she'd totally screwed up some of the math -- and she was almost certain she had -- Chinese food might sooth her irritation.

She spread out the cartons of food and utensils, turned a Pop-Up Video marathon on on the TV as an appealingly mindless background, and waited for anyone who needed to commiserate.

[OOC: Open post, of course! Students taking the test got an invitation, but anyone can wander in. I may be a bit slow this afternoon but will be around tonight.]

Annie had used every minute she'd been given in the test, and used it well. She'd carefully considered her answers when taking the test, and then checked everything over as closely as possible. She was pretty sure the outside world hadn't actually existed while she was taking that test, really.

As she came into the room now, she was still looking distracted as she thought of her answers and was now second-guessing some of them. She picked up a carton of... something, she hadn't been paying attention, and decided, "I think I forgot to carry a one."

Annie shook her head. "I did a ridiculous amount of practice tests and I still forgot to carry a one. Practice tests are clearly not enough practice."

Obviously she was being logical about this.

"I'm thinking of number seventeen, but now I'm calling into question my math on pretty much everything else, too," Annie admitted. "This is the part of the SAT's they don't warn you about."

"Yeah," Annie sighed. "But, you know, they'll probably have the results back to us before we know it."

Or she'd find a hacker- this school had to have one- and make them find out her grade and tell her.

"Princeton and Stanford are my hopefuls," she said. "And Yale and Harvard just to see if I could get in. There's no hope I'd be able to afford to actually go. And I'm looking at Colorado State as my safety. What about you?"

Bruce had taken the test, even though it was somewhat pointless. First, yes, because he was brilliant and found it easy blah blah blah blah. Second, because college was just another staging ground for him to move forward with The Plan and was meaningless to him on virtually any other level. But probably most importantly because there was no exam that could keep someone with the last name "Wayne" out of Gotham State University. There was far, far too much Wayne money tied up in that place to let that happen.

Still, now the test was taken and Bruce had noodles.

"Hi, Quinn. I doubt I got every question right," Bruce joked. Well, it was nearly a joke. "But I'm pretty sure I did well enough to get into Gotham U. How about you?"

"Here's to doing well enough and moving on," Bruce said, lifting his box of noodles as a toast. "It's nice to know that we're past the last standardized test we'll ever really have to worry about."

"Grad school isn't even on my radar. I'm pretty sure I'll just do my time as a business major and head straight into working in a building with my last name on it," Bruce mused.

"Depends on which building we're talking about," Bruce said. "Everything from medicine to cosmetics to computers to parts for spaceships. My father was always interested in a little bit of everything."

So that's where Bruce got it from.

"I'll end up overseeing the parent company and checking in on everything else, but I think my main interests are in WayneTech and the Wayne Foundation," Bruce said. "Yes, we also have a big charitable foundation."

"Is that part of a career goal? Looking to be on TV or something?" Bruce asked.

"Communications plus looks and ambition have a habit of going that way," Bruce noted. "But I can see you doing corporate PR. I have a feeling you'd be good at it."
