PA Announcement, Saturday Morning

The intercom crackled to life on Saturday morning, and Petra, who was as of yet unaware of anything wrong today and hadn't given thought to the possibility people were still asleep since it was a weekend, began to speak. "Good morning, everyone, Petra West here from your Student Council to announce the winners of our Halloween door decorating contest!" Yes, it had been almost two weeks ago. Shh. The wheels of bureaucracy turned slowly. Or...something like that.

"From the second floor, each winning a gift certificate for dinner for two at Il Pollo, is...room 216, Butters Stotch and Sam LaCroix." Petra could then be heard to mutter, indistinctly and away from the microphone, "Wait, he's real?" before clearing her throat and resuming the announcement. "From the third floor, winning two gift certificates for dinner for two at El Burrito Loco, room 330's Annie Edison and Jack Carter! From the fourth floor...no one wins anything, because none of you participated. Boo. And from the fifth floor, room 514's Rilla Blythe wins a twenty dollar gift certficate to Jeff, God of Biscuits. And finally, the grand prize winner, winning two gift certificates for thirty dollars to The Perk and the two gift certificates for dinner for two at Taste of Thai that would have been the fourth floor winner's...Bart Allen and Kenzi I can't read your last name, from room 202! All of you can pick your prizes up in the office with valid student ID. Thank you for your time, and I hope everyone enjoyed the contest!

"YAAAAAAY! WE WIN WE WIN WE WIN!" Kenzi bounced around her room, shrieking.

So, pretty much how she would've acted if she wasn't nine.

There may have been an excited "eeeeeeeee" noise from Annie, along with a tiny fistpump of victory, and then she went back to her book, smiling.
