Fourth Floor Common Room, Early Tuesday Morning
Chloe ran out of tears some time around four a.m.
She didn't know why she was surprised. After all, everyone around her had been losing people and worlds for weeks or maybe months now. However, she had been able to pretend that everything was ok with her world when she was able to talk to Tori several times a day.
Only late Sunday night, Tori had called her...
...and Chloe had been on the phone with her when she was wiped out.
It had taken Chloe most of the day to process what had happened and for the numbness to wear off, and by that time it was after midnight.
Not wanting to disturb K-Mart with her crying, she had left their room and headed down to the common room. She made herself a cup of hot chocolate and curled up in one of the chairs with her hands wrapped around the cup. She didn't drink much of it, but she was hoping that it would help her get warm.
Tori. Derek. Simon. She had been through so much with them and now they were gone! Just gone.

All of that had changed a few hours earlier, when she'd called home only to have Esme act like she had no idea who Jasper was -- and of course she didn't, because Jasper had disappeared.
She'd spent her time in her room, until she'd felt the urge to get out of it. So she wandered down to a common room not her own and caught sight of her fellow cheerleader.
"Hey," she said gently, her usually soft voice even softer. "Mind some company?"

So she crawled out of bed and headed for the common room, stopping just long enough to jam her feet into her slippers.
She found Chloe in the common room and immediately went to sit next to her. She said nothing, just sat.
