The Dorm Roof, Sunday Evening
As soon as they'd been given the all clear to leave Special Collections, Isabel had taken off for the dorm roof. It had been the last place she'd seen Wyatt and she hoped that meant that was where he'd reappear.
The trip across the campus was a blur as Isabel focused on remembering everything she could. Hot chocolate in the woods, laughing at a bad movie, burgers at the Crashdown, Max, Michael, her mom, her dad, that last moment on the roof before she turned and ran.
Oh please oh please oh please.....
Half afraid of what she would or wouldn't find, Isabel pushed open the door to the roof.

Half afraid of what she would or wouldn't find, Isabel pushed open the door to the roof.

"What the hell?" he was saying as Isabel rushed on to the roof.

Then she launched herself at Wyatt because if seeing was believing, holding on for dear life would make it that much better.
Who needs to breath anyway?

"It's over? You found a way to stop it?"

Isabel stepped back, her smile fading just a little. "I'm still kind of mad at you though."

She held the ring out to Wyatt. "I wouldn't wear it."

He sank down to one knee. "Will you wear it now?" he said. "Will you marry me?"
no subject
"Oh god yes," Isabel said immediately. "I would honored to be your wife."

"So how long have you been carrying that around?" she asked as curiosity finally won out. "Did I just get an early Christmas gift?

His expression turned more serious. "You want me to go check on them?" he said. "I should check on Chris and Summer and my grandfather, too. And Piper."
no subject
"Would you? I want to go with you but if I do, I'm not going to want to leave. And there's a few people here on the island I need to check on first." Her own expression grew shadowed with memories. "Parker disappeared the same time you did. I want to check on her."

"I should have a few words with your parents while I'm there, too," he said. "And we can come visit them together when we're done here."
no subject
"A few words with my parents?" she grinned, wanting to be a fly on the wall for that conversation. Not that it would be bad. Her parents had grown to love Wyatt just as much as the loved Liz. "They'll give you an easier time then Max and Michael."
She tipped her lips up for another kiss. "Just don't stay away too late. I want to go to sleep holding you tonight." Well, eventually they'd sleep. Maybe.

Well, and telling her family he'd asked her to marry him. That might take a little longer.

Isabel gave Wyatt another hug, relishing the feel of him, then stepped back before she decided to drag him away for a private celebration. She knew how much he would want to see Chris after everything that had happened.

"Love you," he said, then orbed away, heading first to his San Francisco to find Chris.
