Third Floor Common Room, Thursday Evening

So over the past two weeks on the island, Rebecca hadn't really done very much. Did some work for her classes, rearranged the furniture in her room and taken over part of Matt's closet... normal fun stuff. But she'd come to the conclusion that it was time to start networking with people. Forming alliances, as it were.

Or making friends, as normal, non-Rebecca Logan people might put it. Really, she was in it for the allies and networks.

So after placing a few quick calls, she managed to get some fairly fancy Italian food delivered to the third floor common room. There was more than enough to share with... probably half the student body. That should be a step in the right direction, she decided.

Plus, her top showed a lot of cleavage. So.

Butters burst brightly into the third floor common room. "H-hey, every--"

But he only got that far before he looked around a realized that this wasn't the common room he thought it was.

"Oh, hamburgers," he said instead. "It's happened again..."

"Does this have to do with the Kardashians again?" Quinn asked suspiciously.

"Something smells good," Matt said as he entered the common room, pretending to use hiss cane to guide him.. It was only a half-second later that Matt realized that Rebecca was in the room. He did his best to hide his revulsion. "Is the food for everyone?" he asked hopefully.

Wait, you mean Matt didn't think Rebecca was the best roommate ever? But why?

"Sure!" she chirped, maybe a bit more sweetly than she usually would have bothered being with him. Because there were other people around probably and she had to make a good impression on them, at least.

"I think it is," Quinn supplied. "Hi, are you settling in okay?"

Claudia hadn't smelled anything that fabulous coming from her common room in, well, ever. She had been heading for the roof to mess around on her guitar again, but being a growing 17 year old, she couldn't resist the scent of tomato and basil.

"Wow. I'm not crashing a party here, am I?"

"Nope!" Finally, someone who looked normal. "Have a seat! Would you like anything? There's a ton of food."

"Sure, but we'll let you come in," Matt joked. Mostly because Matt inviting someone to join Rebecca's party was sure to annoy Rebecca to no end. "I'm Matt by the way. I don't think we've met."

Quinn waggled her fingers in a wave. "So weird meeting you here," she said lazily. "Rebecca's decided to feed us all."

Quinn was just going to get a drink, but if the common room was full of food, she'd take a little pasta primavera.

Or she would until she spotted Rebecca, anyhow. She turned toward Madamoiselle Cleavage with a plate in her hand and a bright smile on her face.

"Ruthie!" she said, obnoxiously brightly. "How are you settling in?"

"Katie!" Rebecca chirped back in about the same tone of voice. "Things are going so well, actually. Can I get you anything?" She sized Quinn up, then winced and offered, "Maybe some salad?"

"That's a great deal of food," Dorothy remarked on her way into the common room. Her eyes wide as plates, it was like a feast at the emerald city... only with less fancy table settings.

"Is it some special event?" she asked in general, hoping someone would answer.

"Nope," Rebecca said sweetly. "Just thought people might be hungry after a long week!" That... wasn't technically over. It was Thursday, Rebecca. "Can I get you anything?"

"I think she's going for an ice breaker," Claudia noted. "I'd say it's working. Hi, I'm Claudia."

Darcy was enjoying boarding school life. She only had to venture out of her room when she wanted to. This happened to be one of those times. And there was food.

"Awesome, Italian." She made a detour from the stairs and headed for the food.

"Hey there!" Rebecca said, doing an excellent job of passive-aggressively masking her slight bristling at Darcy's lack of greeting. "Rebecca Logan. Nice to meet you."

"Yo," said Claudia. There were so many people she hadn't met yet. She'd had no idea she'd been such a hermit. "Howzit?"

Rilla was famished, so after Jims went down (for the night, Lord willing), she headed to a common room in search of something to eat.

"That smells divine," she said as she walked into the common room, then spotted the girl who seemed to be responsible for the food.

...oh dear. She moved closer. "I think you've lost a few buttons on your blouse," she whispered earnestly.

"I was thinking that myself," Dorothy said, careful not to raise her voice too much. "Do they not make good buttons now? I'm still getting used to the idea that I'm in the future."

She thought buttons would be something hard to make poorly, yet the evidence seemed to say otherwise.

Rebecca eyed her in a manner that seemed to communicate 'Now listen here, you.'

"I think I'm alright, thanks," she said sweetly. "Would you like some pasta?"

"Oh, hello," Anna said upon wandering into the common room on the floor above hers and finding...wow, that was a lot of people. And food. "Am I interrupting something?"

"Hey," Claudia greeted. Seriously, this was like a new person fest. She should come out of her room and socialize more often. "I'm Claudia."

Kenzi went up a floor after work to see what was up, and blinked when she saw the fancy Italian food. "Who sprung for this?"

"I think it was her," Anna said, gesturing to Rebecca.

Anna did not have any food.
