Second floor common room- Thursday night

Feeling particularly social today, Stacey had gone into the common room and made popcorn. She'd even made sure there was moddable popcorn seasoning available in case anyone else wanted some, and she could even put some on hers and not have to worry about it. Go Team Diabetes!

With snacks achieved, she found a seat and turned on the TV, and found that the channel was still on those same orange people from class. And when she went to change the channel... the batteries wouldn't work in the remote.

"...This is not funny," she decided, hitting the buttons on the remote again in case it decided to work this time.

Matt decided to take a break from his studies and following the smell of popcorn led him to the second floor.

"Hi," he called out as he walked into the room using his cane to guide him. "Who's here?"

"I'm Matt," he said returning the smile that he couldn't see. "Do I smell popcorn and-"

He paused a second a tilted his head to listen. "What in the world is on TV?"

"That reality show with the orange people," she frowned, picking up the remote again. "I think the remote's broken, I can't get it off."

"Then I'm just going to blame genetics," Matt joked. "Have you tried changing the channel at the set itself?"

The he cracked another grin? "Or is it just too far away from the couch?"

"Bet I could turn it off from here," Matt said waving the cane a little in his hand.

Though the distance from the TV and the couch, the cane wouldn't even reach.

"I'll even do it with my eyes closed."

"Yep. I'm a newbie," Matt admitted. "So far I've found the place fairly strange. So are you an alien? Most people I've met are aliens, know an alien or tasered and alien."

"Well that depends," Freddie said, getting his nerd on. "Because if you're an alien, that would mean I'm an alien to you. So it's sort of a relative thing. But I'm from Earth. Seattle, if you want specifics."

"Hey, I think of it as a good thing too," Freddie said. "I mean, it would be cool to be an alien or move stuff with my mind, but I like just being a guy. I mean, I'm sort of internet famous, I guess, but that's no big thing."

"SplashFace," Freddie said. "At least, we started out there. We have our own website and domain now. And... you know, I don't know if our show is just as good if you can't see it. I've never even thought about that."

It had actually given him enough pause to think about how they'd do a blind-friendly episode.
