Fifth Floor Common Room [Tuesday afternoon]

After her one class of the day, Dany found herself without entertainment, and with a belly full of food threatening to put her to sleep. (While she had yet to learn the term 'food coma,' one was not raised a princess -- outcast or not -- without having to keep from falling asleep through a feast or two.) She made her way up to her room to retrieve the dragons, and while a ride out on her silver sounded appealing, she simply felt too lazy to go through the effort.

Perhaps later. For now, she wandered out to the common room with her three dragons trailing after, and prodded at the buttons on the television until they produced something she, at least vaguely, could understand.

"I'd like to buy a vowel," requested the woman on the screen, as Dany stared, transfixed, at the brightly-colored wheel.

She had not known that there was any instance in which language might cost money, but as she watched the lovely woman in the long gown press the small squares and reveal a series of Es amongst the blanks, she understood. "It's a puzzle!"

Of course, when the answer was, "FOOTLOOSE AND FANCY-FREE SHIPPING," she was at a loss again. But she clapped along when the wheel began to spin the next time, at least. Perhaps this next would make sense.

[common room is open, method RP is in effect. Shut up, I love the Wheel.]

"Well, not the laptops," Freddie said, way too eager to geek out about Pear products. "And the first generation of the PearPad was actually just a really, really big rectangle. It was a bit hard to carry around."

Freddie smiled, just happy someone seemed willing to listen to this. "So you've got a company just called 'The Corporation'? What do they make?"

"What don't they make?" Petra asked, rolling her eyes. "They make everything. Makeup, toiletries, clothes, electronics, all your favorite shows and musical acts...everything. They tried to kill me, so I try not to use any of their stuff any more. It's harder than you think, or it was until I came here."

"Whoa," Freddie said, a look of worry on his face. "That's really scary. Can... should I ask why they did that? I don't know why anyone would even want to kill you."

Suddenly being kidnapped and locked up by a crazy fan seemed way less scary.

"The plane we were in on the way to the Miss Teen Dream pageant crashed on this island where they had a secret lab weaponizing unsightly body hair removal cream," Petra explained. "It was a whole big thing but eventually they fake-rescued us so they could stage a mock pageant for those of us who'd survived, and then people dressed as Republic of ChaCha troops were going to gun us down so they could start a war and sell more weapons."

You asked, Freddy.

Freddie just sort of stared. "Whoa," he repeated.

"...is there any way to get back at them?"

Because that was how Freddie rolled.

"Well, we released a video of Ladybird Hope talking about committing treason and having gross sex with Momo B. ChaCha," Petra said. "And we're suing them, but they have, you know, lawyers that may be actual Great Whites in suits, so it's really tied up in court."

"Ugh, lawyers," Freddie said. Spencer didn't count, he never made it past the first day of law school. "Well I guess good luck with that. If it doesn't work we could always try computer sabotage and stuff. I've done a little bit of that in my day."

Because trying to hack a major corporation was just like messing with a preppie eleven-year-old's server. Really.
