So, there was no Tony at the meeting this week, which kind of had Warren worried, but he was conducting the fraternity meeting come hell or high water, complete with pizza and soda and a DVD in his hands that was just screaming to be put into the player. It was a double feature. Because Warren needed some horror movie marathonning just before Valentine's week, okay?

"Before I pop this in so we can kill a few hours just zoning out on mindless killings," he began, "Tony and I have made arrangements with the Student Council to run a Valentine's match-up thing, before the dance. Essentially, people just put in their names, and at the end of the week we'll pull names out of a hat and they can meet up for a coffee date, or for a date for the dance, that sort of thing. So, we're looking for volunteers to man the sign-up table this week while the StuCo sells flowers. There's extra pizza in it for you if you do."

Yep. Warren totally had a handful of Pizza Planet gift certificates. It was incentive, not a bribe.

"So, just let us all know if you want to take a shift, after the movie or whatever. For the time being, enjoy."

Pizza! Soda! Testosterone! Woo!

Pizza! And a movie that was slightly more manly than the one he'd watched this morning... Also slightly less his kind of movie, but he'd probably not admit as much.

Billy grabbed a slice of pizza before settling in. Some good mindless movie watching would be the perfect way to distract himself from the impending Singles Awareness Day.

Food? Sure, Anakin was there. Watch him not care if it was less than healthy.

Topher was here. And fretting about Tony. As you do.

Shut up, he was not eating his feelings ~~much~~.

Again, Lex was not going to turn down free pizza, no matter how much he could afford.

Goose helped himself to some pizza, he wasn't going to turn it down.

Because you know you want to sit at a table with whoever is selling flowers that day. Just pick your shift, and it's yours, boys.

There's totally pizza in it for you.

"I'll take a day," Chuck offered. "It could be... fun?" You never knew. "Tuesday? Or maybe Wednesday?" Two days without classes, so he was flexible.

"Either is fine," Warren assured Chuck with a little smile. "Tuesday could be good, but I understand if there's not much notice, there."

"Tuesday, would be fine. It's... not something that needs prep time." Or he didn't imagine so, anyway.

"Unless we're supposed to prepare some kind of sales pitch. We're not, right?" Worth checking!

"No, no sales pitch needed," Warren laughed, shaking his head. "I'm pretty sure there's something the matter if it turns out that the people around here aren't capable of selling themselves. I mean, we've all got eyes, right?"

So, in conclusion, Tuesday would be awesome.

Anakin didn't get it, but . . . "Sure, why not? I'll take a day."

Just to look useful and everything.

Looking useful was pretty awesome, it was true.

"That would be pretty awesome," Warren decided. "Is there any day that works best for you?"

"Any day's fine, if you don't mind me having to take off for an hour or so for class," Anakin replied. "I don't have class at all on Friday, though."

"Billy already offered to take Friday," Warren noted, nodding Billy's way. "But I don't see any reason why you can't both watch the booth together. Or, I really don't mind if you have to take off for an hour, but I think we do still have a day open on Thursday, if you'd be up for that."

Warren was pretty easy.

"Thursday's fine," Anakin said immediately. "I'll be there whenever I'm not in class."

[[Oh, look who forgot to hit post last night on the much longer reply that's on the other computer at home now. Sigh.]]

"I could take a day. I don't have any classes on Friday," Billy said, "so I can help out then."

"Friday would be great," Warren replied with a grin. "All you really have to do is take names, and Tony and I will take care of the rest."

It was a pretty straightforward gig the boys were running, there.

"I could do a thing?" Topher offered, only because it seemed like cool people were doing it.

A beat.

"It's good pizza, right?"

"It's amazing pizza," Warren promised. "Is there any day of the week that works best for you? Thursday or Wednesday or whatever?"

Topher shrugged. "Wednesday?" he suggested. "Or Thursday. I hate that class. Whatever."

"Wednesday would be great," Warren replied, smiling faintly and shrugging. "I wouldn't want you to miss any classes for the sake of the frat, Topher."

Warren was no fun.

"'Kay," Topher said easily.

Topher had yet to learn that he had missed a class on wings two weeks ago, or he might appreciate that class a bit more.

Death! Fences! What more could you possibly want?

Who is totally not super-worried about his co-leader.

Shut up.

"Sooo... where's Tony?"

Hello to you too, Topher.

Oh, that Topher. So friendly!

"No idea," Warren admitted. "All I really know is just that he couldn't be here today. I guess something must have come up."

See how convinced he was, Topher?

"Did he say anything?" Topher persisted. Because he was weird.

"Not really," Warren replied, blinking. "Why, did he mention anything to you?"

Who probably doesn't have to worry so much about dying in a fence.

We hope.

Tyrion ... had never thought of dying in a fence. (On a Wall, yes, but not in a fence.)

It was a good thing he couldn't read OCD, or it would haunt his dreams from now on.

He was about to supervise, in any event.

Noooo clue what my shift is going to look like today. This week is going to be a week of revisions and quota and bus strikes and madness, but I'll grab any pings to Warren when I get home from work in the evening.
