Today the snacks table sported the usual beverage options and snack fund jar, plus a plate of red velvet cupcakes Petra had made (starting with a devil's food cake mix, she wasn't afraid to admit) and a smaller plate of vegan red velvet cupcakes from J,GoB with a little sign propped up next to it reading, "Vegan!" with a little smiley face.

"Hey, guys!" Petra said. "I hope everyone's having a good week, and wasn't too traumatized by last Thursday." She shuddered a little dramatically and said, "So, okay, business first, I talked to Tony from the frat and they're doing a sort of Secret Valentine thing, where you can sign up to be paired up with someone on Valentine's Day. It totally doesn't have to be a romantic thing, it can just be to have someone to hang out with and eat chocolate or whatever. I thought it sounded really cool and I promised I'd tell you guys about it, so, I have. They're doing signups in the lobby with the Student Council flower sales and dance tickets, so hit all that up on your way out the door if you haven't already. If you want to, I mean.

"Anyway, that got me thinking, we can't let the frat beat us, right? We should do something cool for the student body. Valentine's Day is pretty much covered, but there'll be other holidays, or we could do something just because it's Friday some week or whatever. So I just want to toss that out there. Does anybody have any ideas? For a St. Patrick's Day activity or something? And even if you don't, is there anything anyone wants to talk about with the club this week?"

There are cupcakes, as there frequently are at Pride.

. . . was it okay to have several cupcakes? Would anyone stop her if she did? Because by the gods, these were good.

Gabrielle would just take two cupcakes to start with, and contemplate that question while watching how many other people took.

This week, Ben was hoping to actually talk to another person. (Ben had big goals.)

But for now, there were cupcakes, and that was pretty astral.

Mercy hadn't made last week's meeting ~~because the mun's life went boom~~, but she was glad to be here now and dropped some money in the jar to go towards snacks.

Topher was here. Again.

Yeah, he was kind of confused by it too.

Kenzi was, frankly, surprised he'd arrived twice. But happy. "Hey. Cupcakes!"

Well, that was a big part of why she was here.

"Cupcakes," Topher confirmed.

By sticking one in his mouth. Thanks for being such a model of class, Topher.

Kenzi snickered. It was actually reassuring some things didn't change. She peeled the wrapper off her cupcake and idly asked, "So, what's shaking? You going to the Valentine's dance?"

Elphaba smiled when she saw the vegan cupcakes and took one. She even stuck some money in the snack fund jar in appreciation. She'd spent class today with a puppy. Today was going pretty well for her.

Billy was good and only took one cupcake, and then took a seat to see who else was around.

Hanna eyed the cupcakes. No way she was going to pass on the red velvet kind. Just one couldn't hurt.

"I have no idea how they compare, but the vegan ones are particularly good," Elphaba said to Hanna. "It's good to see you here again."

Nom nom nom nom nom despite meatballs at lunch nom!

Discuss ideas for activities, or any issues you have going on you'd like to share with the club or get their opinion on. Or whatever.

"Hmmmm. St. Patrick's Day. Group date?" Kenzi speculated aloud. "Outing to one of Baltimore's 18-bars? Or, you know, 18-and-under, if we're all married to being legal."

"We don't want the school to shut us down," Petra pointed out, "so yeah, let's stick to legal."

"Then yeah, going somewhere not on the island," Kenzi offered. "So the new kids can see Baltimore, and how they should Just Say No." She dimpled. "I mean, Caritas would serve everybody, and it's a Saturday. Just not sure that's real exciting."

She might be scarfing a cupcake.

Who is also welcome to suggest ideas for activities, though Petra might regret that openness.

You mean Petra didn't want to get the suggestion that they run around dressed like leprechauns, tossing rainbow glitter at people? Because that was an awesome plan.

Which Deadpool was keeping to himself. Because Petra was cruel.

True red velvet has pecans in the icing, and I am a stickler about this (NO CUPCAKE SHOP GETS IT RIGHT. It is AMAZING.) But Petra is a Yankee and doesn't know any better, so assume your cupcake is however you want it to be.

Do I lose red velvet points for being allergic to pecans? :/
