Salle [Monday, Morning]
This week was really not letting up, was it? If anything it was getting worse. Friday had been a nice distraction, and temporary solution, but that restless energy had popped back with a vengeance in no time at all. What was with that? Not that she was really complaining, because it wasn’t a horrible feeling, just... Confusing.
In an effort to ease the twitchy feeling, Kate was taking everything out on an unsuspecting dummy. In her mind, the answer to every problem was to kick things. Hard and multiple times. Slayer had been set aside for now, because as much as she loved some time with her sword, she just didn’t trust herself with anything sharp today. That required a little more concentration than her wandering mind was up to today.
Of course, it still didn’t really seem to be helping, but Gods be damned if she wasn’t still trying.
[[open salle, but with likely work-related SP from my end. ]]

She needed to hit things with her agiels, people-shaped things. It mightn't make the sneezing or the twitchiness go away, but it would make her feel better.
no subject
It gave her an excuse to get her breath back. For all the energy this thing was giving her, it didn't extend certain limits.
"Morning." See how she left out the 'good', that was thoughtful, right?
no subject
"Morning," she growled back as she drove her agiel into the throat of a hapless training dummy.
no subject
"I find cursing at them really helpful," she offered. Personally she growled at them in Russian, which limited the number of people who might actually understand her.
no subject
"I don't think there's any foul enough," she replied, slamming the other agiel into the dummy's midsection.
no subject
If she'd been sneezing like Cara, she'd probably be pissier this week too.
no subject
She tried to let the sting of the agiels against her palms distract her from her other problem.
no subject
Possibly not something Cara wanted to discuss further.
"What's your weapon?" she asked instead. Her curiosity was piqued, she'd admit it. For all her weapon-related training, she didn't know those.
no subject
"My agiels? They seem to be unique to my world." And honestly Kate was probably all the better for not knowing them. "They're the weapon of the Mord'Sith."
no subject
She just couldn't imagine killing things with those being quite as effective.
no subject
"Blades have their uses," Cara said neutrally. She decided not to mention that killing was not the primary use of an agiel, even though they were very good for it. Just to be clear. "Wielding an agiel takes great skill and practice."
no subject
"I don't envy the dummy." It appeared Cara had both. "There are a lot of people around here with a a lot of practice doling out damage."
no subject
And that was a fun mix of pride and guilt to add into Cara's general mood right now.
no subject
"Your world anything like this one?"
no subject
no subject
"So... The grass is purple and you have three moons?"
Legitimate guess!

"Hello."
no subject
"... Hello," she couldn't remember his name, but, "guy who does reserves." She had a photographic memory for some things, and swiss cheese for others.
no subject
no subject
Or, some people just have a better memory for names than you, Kate.
no subject
Basically there were, like, three. So.
no subject
"And technically I was there for both sides." A slashy response just so happened to be her autopilot position. Magic a second choice.
no subject
no subject
"Well, looks like you get to share a room with a lots of martial-minded girls this morning." Weren't you looking forward to that Wesley?
no subject
"Quite," he said, with a wry sort of smile. "You seem to, ah, truly know what you're doing," he added, with a nod toward the dummy. "Have you had training apart from here, or...?"
no subject
"Back home sword carrying is more normal than I think it is here."
no subject
no subject
Possibly that came to mind because that was the sort of reason to carry a sword people in her world had.
no subject
no subject
But yeah, it was about the same.
no subject
"Interesting," Wesley said after a moment. He made a mental note to ask Giles whether Atlanta was on a Hellmouth. "Er. Apparently there was an issue with a troll in Sunnydale a week or so ago," he offered. "But as I understand it, he was, ah, transported to an alternate dimension quickly enough."
So... yay for that.
no subject
She was less than thrilled by the number of people there, but it didn't stop Surreal from offering a grunt in greeting before proceeding to go hand-to-bag in an effort to cool her nerves.

"I think it's going around." This many people needing to let of steam this early? "Too much energy, no concentration."
