Fourth Floor Common Room, Sunday Evening
Rapunzel wasn't bored, exactly. Or, rather, she was, but it was a good kind of bored. Not the bored she got back home where there was nothing to do except for all those things she'd done a dozen times already. No, this was the kind of bored that she'd only discovered in Fandom: the kind of bored where there were a dozen new things to try out that would make her un-bored very quickly!
So she was flipping through channels on the TV just to see what was on (and the answer was so many things)!
Eventually she stopped hitting the button to change channels. Her eyes grew wide. "Ohmygosh! Puppies!"

So, Freddie (still in Sam's body) entered the common room with Toto padding after him.
"...I have no idea what to feed you," he realized, and started going through the cupboards.
"Hi, person who may or may not be themself," was how he chose to greet Rapunzel.

Oh, no! The island wasn't doing that again, was it? Rapunzel hated that.

He stopped and gave Rapunzel a reassuring smile. "Some of us ended up... bodyswapping. Like that movie Wacky Wednesday. Except instead of it being with my mom, it was with my girlfriend."
Toto barked and pawed at Freddie's foot.

Probably because she hadn't seen Wacky Wednesday.

"Are you okay?" Because that sounded so weird.

"Right now I'm more concerned about finding food for this little guy. You know anything about dogs?"
no subject
But somehow she didn't think it would actually provide any useful information for dealing with real dogs.

Spoken like a man who never had a pet.

It was a special kind of logic.

And she didn't have any better suggestions.

He walked over and opened the fridge and started rifling through it.
"So, it's nice to meet you, actually," he said, rummaging. "Just wish it wasn't so confusing with me looking like someone else. What's your name?"

He grabbed the package and pulled it out of the fridge, cracking it open. He took out a slice and started tearing it into little pieces.
"Here, Toto," he said, and the dog came over to obligingly start eating. "You want to feed him some?" he asked Rapunzel.

She knelt down and held out a scrap of meat for Toto to take.

"Yeah. Given my mom's tendency to freak out if I go on strange trips, I decided to pass on it. The part where I'm not myself today kind of helped make the disappointment a lot less. Rio sounded pretty cool," Freddie said.

She'd never thought that she'd get tired of having people around all the time, but sometimes she felt a bit overwhelmed. It'd be nice to have some quiet.
no subject
That sounded an amazing idea.
Toto, for his part, just happily ate up all the offered bologna and wagged his tail.

And potentially super messy in a dorm, but that would be half the fun.

One of the best things about Fandom was all the new words she got to learn!

But then again, he'd had to tell Gibby about radishes actually existing, once.

He was so helpful.

He smiled and shrugged. "Sam might know something more than me."
