Sorority Meeting [1st floor rec room]
Annie had been nice and helpful today, sending out an email to the sorority members telling them to wear clothes they could relax in. So it probably shouldn't be too much of a surprise to see that there were pillows strewn about the room and yoga mats on the floor. Annie didn't actually know anything about yoga, but they sort of said "relaxing."
"Hi, everyone! So with school back in session and graduation coming up and college letters coming in any day now, I thought maybe we could work a little on relaxation techniques to get you through those tough times," Annie said. Mind you, none of these would work on Annie. Ever.
“We’re going through a bit of stress at home, too,” Rilla said, “and people react in different ways. My mother knits, and our housekeeper bakes constantly.”
Which would explain the mounds of cakes they had to choose from. The news from the front this week hadn’t been positive. “I think I prefer the music to the sugar.”
This was not true at all.
"It's healthier, anyway," Annie said. She preferred the sugar, too. "But pick a yoga mat, and we can try some breathing exercises, or something, or get some cake, and we'll just relax for a while." And then she went to the stereo and hit play on the CD, thus filling the room with the sounds of things like waves crashing and birds chirping. Yes, she totally owned one of those Sounds of Nature CD's. Don't judge.
“We can each share a happy thought to help calm us!” Rilla added. “For instance, Jims has slept through the night every day this week!”
"And I should be getting word on my colleges maybe even today!" Annie said. No, Annie, that was your stressy thought, not your happy thought.
“Now someone else can go,” Rilla said, nodding. “Everyone breathe!”

Mingle & Think Happy Thoughts
Re: Mingle & Think Happy Thoughts
Which begged the question of why she kept coming, really. But here she was.
Re: Mingle & Think Happy Thoughts
Preferably not one about Bruce?
Re: Mingle & Think Happy Thoughts
Never mind that she was dealing with a bit of stress herself lately, from her... condition to not having heard from her father in a few days. STILL. SHE WAS WAY TOO COOL FOR THERAPY.

Re: Mingle & Think Happy Thoughts
"And how will me talking about my life make anyone else happy?" Rebecca was skeptical.
Re: Mingle & Think Happy Thoughts
Maybe leave out the STI part.

She totally meant her.

"My happy thought," she shared, "is that it's two months to graduation and nothing horrible is happening."

Talk to the Leaders
Re: Talk to the Leaders
It was soooo not gonna help.
Re: Talk to the Leaders
Yes, hello, Rebecca. How were you today?
Re: Talk to the Leaders
"If you don't like it, you don't have to participate," she said helpfully.

Yep, Annie. She just called your meeting a play-date.

Re: Talk to the Leaders
Nah. She liked pretending to be a part of a community. But sure, go with that other thing.
