Crush party!- 6th floor common room- Friday night
Today was a busy one, and as soon as the play was over it was time to dash back to the dorms to make all the last-minute touch-ups for the party. It was as beachified as someplace in the dorms could be, there were plenty of (non-alcoholic) tropical drinks, and glitter everywhere.
Glitter, sand, totally the same thing.
And, Annie decided, considering the rampant "Do you want to go to the party?" happening last night, it was probably a good thing they hadn't gone the bouncer route.
[OCDgoing up! If you want to come and haven't received an invitation, totally feel free to say Annie tracked you down and invited you. So, technically open to all! *nods*]

Re: Arrive/Mingle
Not that this meant anything to him - at least not when it was a high school party - but his policy on social events at this school had always been to show up at least long enough to convince people he wasn't a recluse doing strange things in his room by himself, like trying to take over the world.
So: there he was, in a nice shirt and pants, eyeballing the glitter with the look of the post-traumatic.
Or at least the post-Oz-on-a-weird-weekend.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Rebecca sauntered over to him a respectable amount of time after he'd arrived. "Good thing I didn't put money on this," she remarked. "I wouldn't've pegged you for deigning to make an appearance at this kind of thing."

Re: Arrive/Mingle
Look, she'd noticed him eyeing the glitter like it was going to murder him on the spot. Not that she'd been looking at him or anything. Shut up.

She paused, sipped her drink, then segued, "How've you been?"
Re: Arrive/Mingle
One of the few good things about it.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Oh for god's sake, Rebecca.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
He wasn't really all that interested in flirting, per se. But hell, at the very least, Rebecca made for an easy smokescreen of the 'I'm just an ordinary teenager' kind.
He just wasn't sure whether it would be worth the time he might potentially lose on dealing with her tonight.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"I bet it does," Rebecca remarked, leaning casually against a nearby countertop. "More space... more flexible hours... more freedom to bring people over..." No longer any need to write up sexile-themed post-its while in the heat of passion with Rebecca...

BetterStrongerLess social men than you had fallen victim to her smirk and her fallen posture. Or would when she got to canon, anyway."Breaks are always nice," Rebecca agreed. "Don't think I've ever had any complaints about the way you've... taken breaks before."

Look at him, unfazed by her display.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Please," Rebecca said, straightening up and dropping her hand back to her side. "If anything, I'll take it as a compliment."
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Peter rolled his eyes. "Then take it up a notch, and just ask," he said. "All the wink-wink nudge-nudge is unworthy of you, really."

Re: Arrive/Mingle
Fine. He'd free up an hour or two.
"Thought you'd never ask," he said, and offered up an arm.
