Crush party!- 6th floor common room- Friday night
Today was a busy one, and as soon as the play was over it was time to dash back to the dorms to make all the last-minute touch-ups for the party. It was as beachified as someplace in the dorms could be, there were plenty of (non-alcoholic) tropical drinks, and glitter everywhere.
Glitter, sand, totally the same thing.
And, Annie decided, considering the rampant "Do you want to go to the party?" happening last night, it was probably a good thing they hadn't gone the bouncer route.

And to fret that four people would show up and that was all, though even if it was just her and Rilla it would be the most successful party she'd ever thrown. Oh, the days of negative popularity...

"That paper lantern isn't hanging right," she announced when she came to a stop in front of Annie, pointing.
Yep. That was her entire complaint. If you really gave it some thought, though, it was actually kind of flattering that that was all she had to bitch about!
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Okay she probably wouldn't actually die of shock but it sounded better to narrate that.
She looked over at the lantern. "I kind of think it adds character."
