Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

Raven had been feeling a little lonely in Kaeleer, so she decided to stay in Fandom after her library shift, if only for the night. She busied herself in the common room making dinner -- spaghetti (since she hadn't managed to screw that up yet) with garlic, olive oil, and tomato paste. There was plenty to share, along with salad and garlic bread on the side.

After filling her plate, she settled in front of the TV, wondering if there was anything interesting to watch. Someone stop her before she found the meta for Game of Thrones marathon.

[Post inspired by my dinner. That recipe is simple yet nummy!]

"Do you normally cook for a family of four?" Thelma asked wandering into the common room. It was a mild relief that the person who'd been cooking could actually see her.

"Well good, because I'm not used to asking before I take," Thelma said, going to help herself to some garlic bread.

She took a bite and chewed for a moment. "Well, I'm around. So that counts for something, I hope. You have a nice day in the library?"

"They let you do that in a library?" Thelma mused, still eating. "Or are you just some library rebel, throwing out the rules when they don't suit you?"

She snickered a little at that thought, picturing Raven in a leather jacket and kicking over a bookshelf.

"Oh, that's not as rebellious, then," Thelma said with a grin. "You're starting to strike me as the wouldn't hurt a fly type, you know that? Which is awfully sweet. Awful if it's paired with 'won't speak your mind', though."

"Good," Thelma said, emphasizing her word with a gesture of her half-eaten garlic bread. "Because while the gentle quiet goth girl thing can be cute, a little spunk is really necessary for a well-rounded person."

She took another bite. "That sounded a bit weird, didn't it?"

"Pillows or food," Thelma repeated with a little snicker. "Well I'm not much for violence myself, either. I've electrocuted someone for their own good, but that was very definitely non-lethal. The fact I can't really touch most people possibly has something to do with that, though."

"Well when it stops you being possessed by a demonic force that's turned you all... bitchy and somewhat of a slut, that's when it's for your own good," Thelma said. She then looked a little bit wistful. "It wasn't that long ago, really."

"She was," Thelma said, trying not to get too choked up thinking about Cassie. "She'd accidentally become pregnant with a fallen angel's baby during the whole possession time, though. That was messy business all around."

Thelma chewed her lower lip on that one. "Well, not exactly," she said, looking down at the ground for a moment, her mirth falling away. "She's gone, now. Not all of us get to stick around as ghosts, I guess. I'm one of the lucky ones."

"It's okay," Thelma replied, her voice a little shaky. But then she smiled, genuinely. "You're right about the peace thing, though. I got it straight from the horse's mouth on that one. Though I possibly shouldn't have used that expression, as Cassie wasn't horse-like at all."

She chuckled lightly, though her heart wasn't entirely in it. "And really, I started the whole conversation, so don't you worry."
