He was also very thrilled that someone seemed to have eaten his common room out of Cocoa Puffs, which was why he was currently curled up in a sulky ball on the sofa looking for something to watch on television.

"So, still shrieking," Sparkle replied, because he was helpful like that. "I don't think they tell us to bring earplugs to help prepare for this kind of thing in the brochure."

A beat.

"Though it is kind of hilarious just how squawky guys can get if you give 'em boobs without any warning."

"I think I'm handling myself fairly well, given the circumstances," Alec decided, then added awkwardly, "I'm normally male."

Because the first part hadn't cleared that up at all.

"You and me both, sweetheart," Sparkle replied, smirking a little. "I think that's pretty much everyone in here right now, you know?"

Seeing as it was a common room that seemed to be full of girls who couldn't dress themselves, and all.

"I suppose we should be grateful for that," Alec sighed. "No basis of comparison for how poorly we've adjusted."

Yes, he was aware that his outfit was atrocious.

And Sparkle... really just looked like a goth chick. Not really a stretch.

"I could run around all day playing fashion consultant," he mused, looking Alec over thoughtfully. "You need to lose like seven layers, there, for example."

"Thanks, but I think I'll keep them," Alec decided. "Since the alternative is walking around in my sister's body while dressed... insufficiently."

Alec was reaching new heights in overprotective brothering, it needed to be said.

"You don't seem to have done terribly."

"And that would be because I have like b-cups if I'm lucky," Sparkle shared. Because he was sure every guy in the room cared about that sort of thing. "I didn't end up looking like anyone I know, though, so I guess that's a bonus. That's what your sister looks like? Rough, man. How are you going to take a piss without thinking about that?"

He was helping.

Alec closed his eyes for a moment. "I hadn't even considered that," he said truthfully. "That's just... excellent."

It took a rare moment of awfulness to elicit sarcasm from Alec. This was that moment.

"Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone else is taking this way too well? Even without the... sibling thing."

"Makes you wonder how many people here have been here for a while," Sparkle mused. "The ones taking it in stride or whatever probably have experience with being chicks already."

... He'd be surprised to learn that most of them didn't.

"Or they're just weird."

Could be that.

Alec rubbed his forehead tiredly. "Even being warned, though, it's still... bizarre." Yeah, Sparkle got that, Alec. "I don't even-- I don't know how to-- it's just uncomfortable."

That was awkward.

"I miss my dick," Sparkle shared, all class, all the time. "I didn't even get much in the way of tits to speak of, but not having a dick? That's just not cool."

Sparkle was kind of straight today, and he had no idea what the hell to do about it.

Crass was kind of a thing Sparkle did. Like eating and breathing and pissing on brick walls outside when he was bored and lighting things on fire and breaking and entering!

Alec pretty much did none of those things. Except for the eataing and breathing and sometimes lighting things on fire, but only when he was supposed to. So he did a lot of those things, really!

"It's just not an observation I'd generally make," he mumbled, looking down. "Never mind."

"You don't generally wake up without a dick, do you?"

"...Not so far." VERY FINE POINT, SPARKLE. "But even so I don't go around talking about how much I... like it."

"You're blushing more," Sparkle cackled. Maybe just a little bit wickedly. "So, you don't talk about it. Extenuating circumstances, right?"

Waking up a girl was totally an extenuating circumstance, thanks.

"I suppose," Alec granted. "This definitely isn't normal."

"Normal for Fandom, though," Sparkle noted. "Just... not for sane people."

He leaned forward a little, grinning at Alec broadly.

"So. You miss your dick."

Alec thought about that for a moment, then made a face. "Let's not go there."
