Fandom High Lacrosse Club, 1st Floor Rec Room, Thursday After Classes

Yes, the sports club was meeting in the dorm rec room today. There were two reasons for this: one, the weather outside wasn't great. Two, Jackson had had other things on his mind since the weekend, and hadn't had the time or the inclination to figure out what they needed to learn next. He'd think on it over the break. (Also, relocating into the dorms kept Derek from lurking around the meeting, so guess there were about... two and a half reasons for this.)

"Today, you're going to learn by watching," Jackson informed them from his spot on a couch. "What I've got set up here ––" He nodded at the big TV. "–– is a video of one our matches back in Beacon Hills. I figure you could benefit from seeing how an actual game goes before we do any actual playing."

Also, he was busy texting his ex-girlfriend's BFF.

"I'm number 37, you won't be able to miss me." Captain and star player, see. And this match was from the time before Scott's sudden skills, too. "Oh, and keep an eye out for Stilinski. He's not actually on the field, naturally, but you can sometimes catch glimpses of him on the bench."

Yeah that was one douchey smirk he gave them. Then he pressed play, before going back to focusing on texting. It was important stuff.

Get comfy and feel glad Jackson's not making you do stuff in poor weather.

Korra wondered why exactly they needed to watch what she assumed as a weirdly shaped radio, but she leant back against Naga's side anyway.

It said a lot that Stiles would rather be outside getting creeped on by Derek than watch Jackson be a smug douche in here. And to think he took your side last weekend, Jackson!

"Hey," Victor said quietly, while people were still settling. "So, possibly a weird question but is Scott, um, doing okay?"

He sometimes felt vaguely responsible for people he zapped. It was a thing.

"Hmm?" Sorry he had been a little distracted over Jackson being an ass. "Oh yeah, he's fine, you don't have to worry about him. This went way more smoothly than the last full moon, believe me."

"Good?" Victor said, sounding a bit surprised. "Only now I have to know what happened last full moon."

"He escaped the handcuffs I put him in, tried to kill Jackson," Stiles said like it was nothing at all. "And he was a complete asshole leading up to that night, using his wolfiness to push people around in lacrosse and kissed the girl I've had a crush on since the third grade."

Okay, yeah, that all might just be a little worse than getting slightly electrocuted.

"And he's still your best friend?"

"The full moon makes people crazy, werewolves more so," he said with a shrug. "And I'm also what you'd call loyal to a fault."

Also Stiles was burying everything inside until he snapped one day. Probably around season four.

"As long as it works for you." Victor wasn't disloyal, precisely, but it took him a while to get over it if he felt screwed over. "So, what, Sunday he was just back to normal? Is that how it works?"

Stiles nodded. "Pretty much. He used to flip out on non-moon days but he's gained a lot of control...despite what you saw over the weekend. He's usually very sweet, really. Like a dumb puppy."

"Yeah, I liked him," Victor offered lightly. "I mean, you're right, he's not going to MIT, but he seemed to be a good guy. Plus he wasn't pissed at me once he got a hold of himself."

"He doesn't tend to hold grudges, no. Except against Derek," he said. "I'd apologize for Derek's behavior the other night but he's always like that."

"He," Victor said, "seemed like somebody with some issues."

And that was his attempt at tact.

"Oh you have no idea," Stiles said. "You having Scott's face probably doesn't help his mood any."

"He acted a little like we did it on purpose to make his night that much worse," Victor agreed. "Which ... is kind of funny now that it's over."

"He probably also thinks the cyborg thing is ridiculous," Stiles said. "And I don't think he'd get the irony of that either."

"Cyborgs make way more sense than werewolves," Victor said firmly. "Just scientifically speaking."

Which was not to say he found werewolves all that difficult to believe in.

"You're all weird to me," Stiles joked. "Though I would have guessed cyborgs were more plausible than werewolves if I hadn't ran into the werewolves first."

"Pretty much nothing is weird to me," Victor grinned, then thought about it. "The vampire in town with the bar who's supposed to be hot or something? That's kind of weird. But werewolves are just like ... why not, right?"

Mercy was here and happy to settle in and watch the game.

Ace could appreciate not being out in the damp, sure, though she did cast a regretful eye out the window toward the spot where they should be mucking about with sticks.

"Looks like somebody didn't get the memo," she said, blinking at the dark, leather-clad figure out there in the drizzle. One squint later and she was grinning and writing backwards in the condensation on the glass.

Derek glared for a moment longer before finding a convenient shadow to slink away into.

Oh, there were pictures...this was awesome. If maybe not as awesome as a probending match would have been. Sorry, Jackson.

Stiles was just gonna sit here and pout.

Victor had never actually watched a lacrosse game start to finish before, so he'd settle in to get a better idea of technique.

He still twitched a little when he saw Scott.

Hunh - Ace hadn't expected her leftover popcorn from Puppy-Head's class to come in handy, but okay, that worked.

"Oh, come on, it was flying straight for you, ya wanker!"

Much like the popcorn flying toward Greenberg's head.

On the bench, yes. The player who'd missed the pass was already offscreen, so she aimed for the wankiest looking substitute wanker she could see.

You'll probably be able to make him at least glance up from his phone.

Once he pings in!

I just found out the lacrosse world championship was held in Turku (which is where I go to school) this past summer, and now I feel strangely sad that I missed it.

Also, BWAHAHAHA DEREK GOT CREEPBLOCKED.
