Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

Jeremy was just intending to have a nice night in. He'd ordered pizza (more than one – there was plenty to share), he was wearing comfy (yet still ridiculously expensive) clothes, and he was all ready to spend his evening in the common room, watching something nice and maybe even holiday themed on the TV, and chatting with his fellow students should they be drawn in by the totally amazing smell of pizza.

But then he flopped down on the couch and turned the TV on. And found that there was nothing but cycling on. On any channel. Granted, this time around it was at least a bit different on each channel: old races, new races, people just leisurely biking to places, and the odd bit of bicycle maintenance advice. But that didn't really help Jeremy who was frowning at the TV and clicking through channels like maybe one of them actually offered something he'd want to watch.

But no.

"Aw, come on! Really? Again?"

Did the TV really hate him or something?

Yeah Stiles could smell free food from a mile away. But...

"I'm not even sure pizza is worth watching cycling."

"Dude, the pizza is trying as hard as it can to make up for the cycling," Jeremy informed him with a wave towards the television. "The TV's busted. Or it has a totally freaking unfair grudge against me."

"I'm going for the latter," he said. "This seems personal."

"See, that's what I've been saying!" Jeremy said. "But I've been told it has 'issues'."

Of course he did the finger quotes.

"Showing nothing but porn would be issues," he said. "This is just mean. I would sleep with one eye open if I were you."

"Oh, you exist," Cade said. "Guess I shouldn't have sold some of your stuff."

Cade thought he was funny.

"The joke's on you, everything I own sucks." No, Stiles, the joke was still on you.

"But I sold it to karking stupid people for credits to buy better stuff," Cade said. "Plus I got all that free poodoo yesterday just for opening a drawer 80 times."

"Yeah, I noticed that," he said. "Those gifts were pretty lame."

"But free," Cade said, "so it's hard to complain. I mean, I will, but still."

"Better than the powdered sugar snow," he said. "That was just unsanitary."

Nobody forced you to lick Derek, Stiles.

"Is that what that was? Thought this planet just had weird seasons," Cade replied.

"Yeah generally anything that comes out of the sky isn't supposed to taste good," he said. "Pretty good indicator that something weird is going on."

"I'll remember that," Cade said. "The sheep were weird too."

"Aw, I thought they were cute!" He liked tiny, fluffy things. See: Puppy Joe.

"It's really not," Tony assured him. "But we'll get the TV fixed."

OR DIE TRYING.

"What if you make it worse?" Stiles asked. "What if it plays curling?"

"Then we break the screen and claim it was a gremlin," Tony replied seriously.

"Good plan," Stiles said with a firm nod. "It's the right thing to do. We'll be unsung heroes."

"Years from now, people will wonder who those brave few that saved them from an obscure ESPN channel were." No they wouldn't, guys. They really wouldn't.

"We'll probably be outlaws is Canada," he said. "They love curling."

"Canada is America's hat," Tony replied, this making certain Alpha Flight never teamed up with Iron Man or the Avengers. "What do they know?"

"Aside from making syrup? Nothing," Stiles said. "They probably also love cycling."

"Moose cycling," Tony agreed. Because there was never enough slander against Canada, it seemed.

Canada deserved it, let's be real. "How are you even gonna fix the TV? Hit it with something?"
