"The Maple Leafs have made the playoffs!"

Anna was just...going to be sitting here looking slightly shocked at the television. She'd only been not locked in her house for a little over a year now, but she was still pretty sure this was not how it was supposed to go.

"What?" she asked of the universe. "I just--What?"

Toby had come from a time where for a few years, the Leafs weren't actually completely terrible, but he'd quickly learned that in the current time that was no longer the case.

Which is why he also was staring at the TV in open-mouthed shock. Because seriously, what?

"...Did? Did that seriously just happen?"

Anna would pinch herself, except she didn't sleep. Or feel pain. "I...I think so? Yes?" No one seemed to be yelling "April Fool!" or anything like that.

"Maybe after all the shenanigans last week we accidentally came back to the wrong universe?" Toby theorized.

"I...maybe?" Anna said. "That would make sense." More sense than this.

"This seems weird," Toby said, shaking his head. "I mean, we should be happy, right? And I am! But it's just. This whole season has been weird." You said that already, Toby.

"Well," Anna said, considering. "There almost wasn't a season at all."
