The Salle, Saturday Morning

Roxie didn't know where she was, and she was pissed.

Though to be fair, that sentence implied causation, and that wasn't quite the truth: Roxie was almost always pissed, and, on this particular instance today, she did not know where she was. But really, the two were only vaguely connected.

So she explored. Whatever the reason that she was here, she could more than handle herself once she found out who was responsible -- she'd just beat them up within an inch of their pathetic life. So she wasn't worried or alarmed as she found her way down to a room full of exercise equipment and training dummies. She just saw it as an opportunity to decimate every single training dummy in the room until the floor was a mess of stuffing and and... whatever you called the outside part of a dummy.

That was her project for the morning. Roxie was a pretty productive gal.

[[second verse, same as the first: leaving at 9, SP most of the day, but i love SP lots, so go for it! open salle.]]

"Where's your purple hair?" Cade asked, arching up an eyebrow.

He had no real reason to be in the salle--he wasn't going to admit that he knew how to use a lightsaber--but there he was anyway, so go with it.

Cade gestured toward his hair then shook his head. "You know, kark it. I don't really care that much. Did you leave any dummies for the rest of us to kill?"

She hadn't really struck him as the "kill everything" type, but then he didn't really know her that well.

"Any particular reason you're killing them today?" Cade asked. "They look at you funny?"

"Well, there had been a different reason, but pissing you off is kind of fun," Cade replied.

"No, but I can get one," Cade said, walking over to borrow one from the practice stand. "I took a class on swordfighting once," he said, settling into the correct stance.

Plus a childhood of lightsaber training. Cough.

Well, Cade didn't much like losing, so he met her assault with more speed and ferocity than his normally lazy exterior would indicate.

"Well, she was a girl," Cade said, parrying easily, "so--"

Cade did a backflip to avoid that--wrenching his back in the process because he was out of practice and ow--landed in a crouch and swiped at her legs with his sword.

Jedi training focused a lot on limb removal, all right?

That move caught Cade by surprise--no one ever tried to land on a lightsaber--and he grunted as his arm slammed hard into the mats. "Kark me!"

"Call it a draw?" Cade offered.

"Thought I wasn't your type," Cade replied.

"That cannot be the first time you've heard that kind of a sword metaphor," Cade replied.
