2nd Floor Common Room | Sunday Morning

There was weird stuff happening on the island again and Jim wasn't affected. He'd woken up as himself and he'd stayed himself and he was still currently himself while sprawled on one of the couches in the common room.

Considering classes were done for the term, he probably should have still been asleep instead of up this early and out of bed but he couldn't resist the allure of possibly seeing some people he knew acting like people they weren't. He was an opportunistic jackass that way. But, he didn't think he could be blamed. If people were gonna go all weird, he had the right to laugh at them if they did stupid stuff, right?

Right.

He figured he had to be properly awake to do anything though so he was eating some 'borrowed' cereal and watching some motivational on TV to get himself going. Except all the TV was doing was boring him so he hoped the cereal was really magic or something to make up for it.

Helen rolled her eyes again. "So if I wondered whether you should shave your face, would that be nice too?"

Jim rubbed at the scruff on his face and smirked. "Depends. Why do you think I should shave?"

[whenshewasnice]

Shrug. "It might make you marginally more appealing. Not to me, obviously."

[pursuedthestars]

"Obviously," Jim said, amused. "Who do you think I'd appeal to, then?"

[whenshewasnice]

"Unimaginative straight girls, probably."

And she wasn't one of those.

"Ah, so you're not straight?" Jim asked, sending a mock frown her way. "That's pretty sad since you do look good naked."

[whenshewasnice]

Oh, there came that slightly horrified look again.

"You don't know that. Gross. What, have you been spying or something? I can report you."

Laughing, Jim shook his head. "And how are you gonna prove that I was spying? Got evidence?"

"You just commented on my naked body."

Which he had not seen. Right?

(It was both right and wrong at the same time.)

"Am I really the first guy to ever comment on your naked body?" Jim wondered.

[whenshewasnice]

"With any pretense of having seen enough to judge, yeah," she said. "And I'm glad, because getting that kind of a comment is gross."

[pursuedthestars]

"Maybe you could consider it a compliment instead of an insult," Jim suggested. "Because that's what it was."

[whenshewasnice]

It didn't feel like that to her, sorry to say.

"No, it's gross, invasive, and bordering on harassment."

[pursuedthestars]

"Whatever," Jim said, waving a hand in her direction. "You're the one with the stylish hair so obviously whatever you say, goes. Because I can't compete with that."

Helen rolled her eyes and grabbed her stuff. If she wanted to hang around self-centered jerks she might as well have stayed at home.

"Whatever."

And then she went on her way.
