2nd Floor Common Room | Sunday Afternoon
There were bowls of pea soup in his room that would just not go away. They smelled and they looked gross and that was just...not cool. He didn't want to spend anymore time in there than he had to so he'd headed down to the common room and taken refuge there.
Of course, the pea soup was appearing in the fridge but Jim could grab something to drink and close the door on said soup in the common room. He flopped down lazily on the couch and stretched out before he turned the television on.
It was Sunday so he figured there'd be football on some channel. Jim didn't even really keep up with the sport but it was probably that, infomercials or holiday movies. He'd choose football. For now.
[Open, of course]

"Thank god it doesn't smell like processed vegetables in here," she announced as she entered the common room. "Hey."

She flopped down on a nearby couch. "Wow. Surprised the TV isn't all Christmas movies, all the time, these days."

Maybe for reasons that weren't quite in tune with the spirit of the holiday but oh well.

She was a little dubious, yes.

It had a lot in common with Valentine's Day, actually!

He wasn't so sure but he liked your optimism, Gert! It was nice to hear.
"I still have to get a few gifts for a few people," he added. "Christmas shopping is not one of my favorite parts of the holiday."

Well, it made a kind of sense, as long as you were talking about a sentient island with logic and intellect.
"So, fingers crossed," she concluded.
Shifting on the couch, she mused, "Yeah, I guess I have to get some gifts too. For Karolina and Victor at least. Who're you still shopping for?"
