Second Floor Common Room, Friday Evening

Gert wasn't used to having plans on Friday night that were much more extensive than snacking and watching movies in the common room, so the fact that that was what she found herself doing tonight wasn't a disappointment. The fact that the TV was refusing to show her anything she might conceivably want to watch -- yeah, that was disappointing. Since she'd made the mistake of napping in the middle of the day and had woken up an hour later from one of the worst nightmares she'd had in a long time, she was really looking for something light, or, failing that, something mindless and actiony.

Instead, the movie choices the TV was giving her were all a little grim. Meta for Braveheart. Meta for Gladiator. Meta for Pan's Labyrinth. She finally settled on the last one, but not before giving the TV a pretty hearty scowl of displeasure.

This wasn't over, TV.

"Welcome to break week," Gert sympathized dryly. "It's shocking to me how quickly I wind up missing classes when there's nothing else to do."
