The Salle, Saturday Morning
Alec was used to this, and more than that, he couldn't actually say that being turned into a girl for a couple of days struck him as all that important. It didn't change his plans for the day. It didn't even change what he wore, even though he had an outfit left over from last year that he could have worn if he wanted to. He didn't, though; in a way, he was lucky that his sister's figure didn't really necessitate extra... garments that he didn't want to bother with.
And that was officially a thought that Alec never wanted to have again.
So somewhere around the time that the sun came up, Alec just went downstairs and went right to work whaling on the training dummies, and there he stayed for quite a while. Same as always.

But she got over it quickly enough to quip, "Oh, I'm already here."

So, you know, just in case she'd been wondering whether or not it was definitely her brother wearing her face today, the nickname was some kind of evidence.
"Didn't mean to steal your look," he added with a rare flash of wry humor.

Because he definitely hadn't bothered making himself look the way Izzy normally looked. That was too much work and not at all in his skill set.
"You know, last time this happened, Sparkle made sure I looked presentable," he noted. Yes, he was now comfortably dropping the 's' word. "There were heels involved. You probably would have approved."
no subject
She had no particular reaction to the dreaded S word. She listened to the radio. That Sparkle was okay to mention again didn't surprise her.

Then explain your own clumsiness, Alec.

Check the username.
"Please, those are barely heels."
no subject
"Oh." Right. "Well, me wearing those would have tarnished your reputation, I'd think."
Because he definitely would fall down.
no subject
She didn't have much regard for her reputation, but gaining one for not being graceful? Yeah, no thank you.
"How are you doing, other than that?"
no subject
He was just qualified to be a grouch.
"What about you?"

"I never actually got her name," Alec admitted. Consistently forgetting to listen to radio as he did. "She's very... peppy. Brunette. Hispanic, I think. She came by the weapons store one day and wanted a grappling hook and fencing lessons."
One day someone was going to tell Alec that it wasn't very nice to complain about his classmates innocently trying to socialize with him. One day.

She shrugged. "Doesn't sound like anyone I know." Ahaha. As if you knew anyone, Izzy. "How very forward of her."

Harsh.

"I didn't know you had a new assigned sibling," Alec said. "What're they like?"
no subject
"He's an ass." Which was probably still more kind than how Chuck would've described her, she was sure. "But he's attractive and more than half-decent at violence."
no subject

Just a hunch.

"He'll learn. Everyone does."
She just didn't consider it really her job to force him into acceptance and understanding.

no subject
Duh.
Of course she said that all casually, too.
no subject
Yeah, deal with the stern Alec expression on your own face, Izzy. Deal with that.
no subject
Seriously. No.
"He was being an ass and he needed a lesson, so I gave it to him. He was not happy about it, either."
