The Water Near the Dorms, 7:14PM, Tuesday

Anyone with a dorm room on the east side of the dorms who bothered to glance out their window at 7:14 this evening would be in for a shock. A large tidal wave appeared on the horizon, lit by invisible lamps in unnatural shades of red and purple and green. Foam rolled visibly off the top, which stuck out right above the treetops of the preserve; the sky above was dark, heavy with grey clouds and rain.

The shadow of a girl dressed in a long flowing dress played briefly across the wave as it advanced menacingly towards the island.

It disappeared abruptly before it could as much as touch the rocks, taking the lights and the girl with it.
