the roof: friday afternoon
Last night, Nathan had dreamed of Clay killing Gabriel and Annalise laughing about it. He could remember Gabriel's hollow eyes and the blood on Annalise's white dress. He'd remembered the smiles and Gabriel's pain and when he'd shot up from the nightmare, he remembered the stinging from his nails digging into his hands.
Nightmares were a fairly normal thing but they still left him shaken enough to want to not be inside and feeling like walls were closing in on him. So, he was up on the roof and had laid his lanky body along the just wide enough ledge of the roof. He didn't feel nervous about jerking accidentally and rolling off though he did briefly wonder how much he'd have to heal from if that happened.
But, he tried to put that thought out of mind. His sunglasses were shielding his eyes from the sun but he was thoroughly done with hiding his tattoos so his arms were bare and the t-shirt was light, making it easier to deal with the heat. He wasn't asleep but he thought he could fall asleep if he stayed there too much longer.
Instead, he was just letting the heat warm his skin and watching the few clouds pass overhead.
