First Floor Lobby Saturday Afternoon

While this was a trying time for half the population of Fandom, Barry really couldn't pass up the opportunity to do some research on the phenomena.

So he was parked in the lobby with some cheek swabs and some lancets in the hope that some people weren't too traumatized to participate.

A sign was out saying:

DNA research for the recently transformed! $100 for DNA samples!

What? Science people!

"DNA," Barry clarified. "It's what determines your physical characteristics."

"And it's inside my mouth?" That was a new one. "Is it magic?"

Her skin wasn't itching, but maybe it was just that the magic wasn't active yet.

"I mean, I don't mind, it just seems like you'd need more than my spit or some of my blood to figure out anything about me."

"Not magic," Barry said shaking his head. "Your body is made up of cells. Each cell has DNA. The cells in your mouth and the cells in your blood will tell me if there are any differences between your male and female form."

Beat

"Besides the obvious of course."

"Oh."

Kaylin considered this for a moment.

"All right then."

Barry removed the seal from the swab and handed it over. "Just rub that on the inside of your cheek."

Kaylin did so and then handed it back. "I still don't understand how this works. Maybe you can show me sometime."
