3rd Floor Common Room | Monday Afternoon
This whole thing was annoying. Ronan just wanted to go back to constantly feeling angry and annoyed at the world. He didn't want to throw angry, annoyed and wanting of the world into that mix. No. It wasn't happening.
(It already was happening).
There was absolutely nothing on television but that wasn't stopping Ronan from changing the channel every five seconds in a futile attempt to get his brain engaged and away from so many mental images that were dangerous to even broach.
He'd left Chainsaw and the robot baby in the room, trusting his bird to watch over that thing and not even caring if Chainsaw pecked it till it broke. He didn't want to deal with. Nope, he was just going sit on the couch, drink ice cold water (that was, unfortunately, not spiked with anything good) and take his frustrations out on the channel clicker.
God, he was sad.

Good phrasing. Good, good phrasing.

"Well, I wouldn't say no, because I'm not as attached to my pride as some people."

And Ezra was just fine with that.

"You think so?" he asked, sounding amused himself now. "That confident in yourself, are you?"
He looked Ezra up and down, sizing him up (and checking things out and all). "Hmm. Maybe."

"I got no problem with showing you," Ronan eventually came out with after doing some thinking. Okay no, he'd just been looking. His brain wasn't doing a lot of work this week beyond 'want' and 'goddammit.' "It's not gonna be in a freaking common room, though."
Who knew what had happened on these couches and floors?

"Okay," Ezra replied easily. "Your room or mine? Or the hotel? I had a wonderful time there just this past weekend."

This once. Also, it meant he could leave the damn robot baby behind.
"I'll meet you there."

"Okay," he said. "Looking forward to it."
So, that was settled.
