Sure, the prom here wasn't much like the prom in Night Vale, but still - Cecil was on the student council, and he was going to help out!

So here he was, with the adorable remnants of pink Easter grass sprinkled liberally with a fresh coating of glitter, ready for all your prom-voting and ticket-buying needs!

Foucault was here, too - and he even matched the grass! Pink and covered in glitter! (He'd been such a help.)

Hanna hadn't really been paying attention this week, although she knew 'prom' was coming up.

Plus, there was a pink bird.

"Cecil? What is all of this for?"

"Prom!" Cecil grinned. "It's a bit different everywhere, but here it means there's a big dance, and plenty of food and drink, and someone's elected king and queen - but that doesn't mean they get any actual power - and there's a lot of glitter everywhere." He shrugged. "Though I guess that's pretty much any day, really."

"A party?" Hanna smiles a little, reaches out for Foucault. "Is there a special occasion? And why would you elect a king with no power?"

"It's just a school thing. And I'm not really sure why. Bragging rights?" Cecil shrugged.

Foucault blinked at Hanna and honked happily, pushing his head into her hand.

"It's a shame he's not eligible; he'd soak it up!"

Hanna snickered and petted Foucault, saying lightly, "Well, if it were Foucault, he'd have the right to brag. Can I buy a ticket to see that?"
