Rooftop; Monday Evening

As far as first school days, Laura had to admit it had gone pretty well. No dead, no maimed, nobody hurt in any way that she considered serious. It was a far cry from it being okay, but it sucked a lot less than Utopia and their unique brand of judgy teens. And she couldn't even blame Nori and company, but it was nice to be somewhere people didn't know her. Some kids would use the excuse to reinvent themselves; Laura just wanted the quiet. She could figure the rest once she hit the road again, back in her world. Her purpose of figuring out whether she had a soul or not was still strong in her.

At the time though, sitting by the edge of the roof to take in the evening breeze and gaze into the darkness suited her just fine.

Now that sort of thing warranted a 'that's so gross, why would you share that?'

But, instead, Eggsy went with an impressed, "Like Raven then? She's blue sometimes."

And pretty hot.

"I know who is Raven. I suppose her shape-shifting grants her a facsimile of a healing factor. I do it know if it extends to entire limbs." That opened all sort of interesting questions that would probably freak Eggsy up.

"I simply heal exceedingly fast."

"Yeah?" This time it was leaning toward dubious.

Laura arched an eyebrow. "Do you need demonstration?" Because really, her healing was an important part of who she was. Better leave that clear.

"Of seein' your arm grow back?"

Laura frowned. "That would take two weeks." And she sort of liked having two arms, not to mention she would need to remove her bone claws and reinsert the adamantium ones... messy businesses.

"It does not matter."
