Fifth floor common room, Saturday afternoon/evening

After yesterday's class on propaganda, a light had gone on for Jalian. This was how one person could change more than just their surroundings. She'd largely ignored movies and TV before, but now she was curious.

So, she was sitting in the common room, watching TV. She had a bowl of popcorn and was frowning at the screen trying to pick out which parts were stupid and which might be some form of propaganda.

So far the judgment had mainly come down on "both". For just about everything.

Jalian rolled her eyes. "Tedious and annoying. But the teacher yesterday told us about propaganda, so I'm trying to figure it out."

She held the bowl out toward Lucille. "Hello. Popcorn?"

"Propaganda?" Lucille picked a popcorn from the bowl. "Is that what they are showing on the TV?"

"I can't tell," Jalian admitted. "Sometimes it all seems like it is, and sometimes I think it's just senseless. The propaganda in class was the teacher dancing."

In very skimpy shorts.

"That sounds unexpected," Lucille replied, reaching for another popcorn.

Jalian grinned. "He had very nice legs."

[crimson_sister]

"Oh." Lucille considered that. "Then at least the propaganda offered something of interest. Who is the teacher?"

[kenselvren]

"Steve Rogers," Jalian answered. "He seems very practical for a male, and he knows quite a bit of this country's history."

[crimson_sister]

"At least that is something." She took another popcorn, watching the TV. "It is terribly noisy."

[kenselvren]

"Very." Jalian scrunched up her nose. "And bright. It hurts my eyes if I watch for too long. But it seems very important to the people of this timeline."

[crimson_sister]

"That is my impression too," Lucille replied. "Has your week after the trip been pleasant? At least it is quiet, I find."
