The Deck, Friday Afternoon
Ringo had spent a lot of time in her room over the past week. It turned out that the little drone she'd bought broken was a simple for a drone, but still a pretty complicated piece of hardware. Which meant that trying to get it back into working order had taken a lot more time than she'd thought. (It had also turned out that there had been a lot of stuff she'd had to look up online as her AT maintenance skills only had so much overlap with drone repair.)
But she'd finally finished! She, well, hoped. Now she had the little controller app installed on her phone and had the thing out on the back deck for the first test flight that didn't involve just making it hover over her desk. The weather was nice enough that it kind of made Ringo want to put the drone away and go out for a ride, but, no, she was going to be disciplined about this.
"Let's see what you can do," she muttered to the little mass of plastic.
Within a few minutes Ringo was flailing and yelling. "No, no! Don't go that way! I said don't! And stop crashing into the ground! I just spent all that time fixing you!"
Turned out that controlling a cheap little drone was pretty tricky.
[ooc: Open, of course. With SP warning for this afternoon as I run some errands.]
