The Deck, Monday Afternoon.

It was raining. Glitter. It was raining glitter, and really, anyone who knew Ada at all should not be shocked that she'd dug through the dorm janitorial closets to come up with buckets and place them all out on the deck, letting them fill to the point of bursting with the stuff.

Ada herself was perched on the railing, catching glitter in her hands and laughing as she enjoyed this particular form of precipitation. At least Fandom was giving her fun weird-shit for once.

"You think we made it rain?" Dante asked, walking back in from townside.

Cleaning the glitter off his bike was just not happening at this rate.

"If'n we did, it's th' best super-power ever," Ada decided gleefully, taking her hands full of glitter and tossing it at him. "Ain't sure if'n it's edible, though."

Dante was already looking really sparkly. Dodging the glitter she was throwing at him as casually as he did was, ergo, completely gratuitous.

"You try tasting it?" he said. "Or you just filling up all your pockets?"

"Well, aren't you a sight?" Class had left Isabela in a mood today, thank Andraste's flaming knickers she was done with that, so this was a very pleasant distraction.

Lucille kept brushing glitter off her dress with little success, and didn't notice Ada until she heard her laughing. Then she stopped, momentarily forgetting to keep her dress glitter free. The glitter, the laughing and Ada sitting on the railing just made something tense inside her, and she didn't realize that she was staring.

"Done with class f'r th' day, so 'm gonna play," Ada giggled, hopping off the deck railing to twirl under the glitter storm. "Come dance with me, 'Bela!"

Ada grinned. "Haven't tried it yet, 'stead I went an' got bigger pockets," she said proudly, pointing at the buckets she'd set out around the deck.

"How could I refuse an offer like that?" Isabela asked, hoisting herself over the rail to join Ada.

"Are you starting a secret glitter silo?" Dante asked, grinning as he wandered towards her. "Sparkly."

Ada was, admittedly, rather oblivious to most things going on around her except for the sparkles raining down from the sky. It took her a few moments to realize Lucille was there, but when she did, she waved and gave the other girl a bright smile.

"Lucille! Come out an' play with me!"

"Maybe. Bet I could find lots of ways t' put it to good use," she laughed. "Drop glitter bombs on people from th' roof, maybe."

"If'n you tried, I'd just pout 'til you said yes," Ada admitted, totally unrepentant about her willingness to use Big Mermaid Eyes on Isabela to get what she wanted.

"Put a couple of these up on the roof," Dante said, patting the bucket, "You could drown someone in the stuff." Beat. "I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing, I dunno, Jarrus sparkling up a storm."

Isabela was especially vulnerable to those, it was true.

"You're terrible," she said, grinning as she reached out to try and snag Ada's hand.

Ada looked at Dante thoughtfully, then at the bucket.

"I know where his office his."

Using her TA powers for evil? No. Never.

Dante tilted his head, giving a squirrel a little conspiratorial side-eye. "Nah," he said, "I'm just spitballing. Glitterballing?"

So yes.

Jarrus deserved to be properly inducted to the island here, anyway.

"Th' worst," Ada agreed, grabbing Isabela's hand to twirl her around. "But the sparkliest worst."

"So, rinkeni, when were you planning on letting me know you could control the weather?" Hyacinthe teased, stepping out onto the deck. Glitter was already caught in his hair and on all of his clothing, though he didn't seem to mind. "And what must I do to convince you to have it rain good wine next time?"

Lucille approached her, now letting the glitter gather on her dress and in her hair. "Play?" she asked.

Isabela kicked up flurries of glitter as she spun. "With this much glitter you'll be the sparkliest for weeks," she said. "It's going to get everywhere."

"Play!" Ada laughed, holding out her hands palms-up to let glitter gather there, then toss a handful at Lucille. "It's so pretty!"

"We'll look like we caught stars in our hair," Ada said, laughing. "Never gonna manage to brush it all out."

"If'n I knew how t' make it rain wine or glitter, I'd do it all th' time," Ada said, shaking her head and sending up a cloud of glitter from her hair. "I like this much better than snow."

Ah, someone new and also very pretty. And someone dressed a little closer to what Hyacinthe thought of as 'normal'. Not that he wasn't deeply appreciative of the clothing so many of the ladies (and no few of the lads) were sporting here. It made for excellent views.

"I believe 'tis a lost cause, my lady," he said cheerfully. "My experience with this is that it lingers. Besides, it looks most becoming in your hair, like a net of stars."
