Third floor common room, Saturday morning

Mara was up and had already run, dressed, and showered like some kind of hugely productive person. She decided to reward such high class adulting by treating herself to pancakes, which she had a vague idea how to make.

She pulled flour, eggs, milk, and baking powder (or maybe soda, was there a difference?) from various cubbies, started to heat up a pan and got to work.

Mmm, pancake-like food.

"That's a pretty name," Mara said. "Where are you from?"

"Rivain," Naishe replied with a shrug. "You Fereldan?" They were supposed to be pretty pale.

"Coruscanti," Mara said, shaking her head. "Well, Imperial Center now."

"That near Tevinter?" Andraste fighting the Imperium was the only part of the Chant Naishe had ever bothered to paid attention to.

"I don't think so," Mara said with a light frown. "But there's a lot of the galaxy I still need to learn."

"Tevinter's a country."

What did stars have to do with it? Didn't Mara know anything?

"Then that's definitely why I didn't know it," Mara said. "What's it like there?"

Naishe shrugged, never having been there. "Doubt it's good, they have slaves there." That was enough to make it terrible a far she was concerned.

Mara nodded. "Slavery's around in a lot of places."

Oh, Mara. It's not a GOOD thing.

"Terrible places." Naishe had already developed a very flexible sense of morals, but that was one thing she knew was wrong.

"Some of them are," Mara agreed, nodding.

[good_for_six]

"All of them." Naishe wasn't going to budge on this.

"Have you been to all of them?" Mara asked.
