Third Floor Common Room; Friday Afternoon [08/31].
The rainy weather had put a damper (Ha! Get it?) on Prompto's plans for another good jog around the island, which he wasn't too broken-hearted about, believe him on that, but he wasn't going to let being in a new place sway him into breaking all the good habits he'd built up over the years. He went down to the gym instead, got in some time with some weights, a punching bag, and more than a little bit of time with his own reflection in the mirror. What? Even he had to admit he'd come a long way from the sad, lonely chubby kid he used to be.
After the gym, he hit the showers, and then meandered over to the common room to whip up the peanut butter chocolate protein shake he'd been practically dreaming about since he'd brought it up at his cooking class earlier that week, filled his glass, and then went to crash on the couch.
"Alright!" he said, obviously to no one in particular since he was, at that point, by himself, getting comfortable, lying in a way so that one leg danged off the side of the couch, the other off the arm of it. "Now it's time to chillax!"
Which generally involved texting Noctis and beating his butt in King's Knight.

"Looks like you've made yourself right at home," she noted.

The game on his phone distracted him for a clearly very intense moment right then, enough that he sat up again, attention completely devoted to the small screen while his thumbs flew over it; it emitted a few battle sounds, canned effects of slicing swords and grunting warriors, before it came to a head and Prompto groaned, falling back on the couch in disappointed defeat. "Ugh, man, he got me again. Probably time for a break anyway."
He swiped across the screen to close the game, typing out a quick text to let Noctis know that he was totally a cheater, obviously, and then he turned his attention toward Sabine with a grin. "What up, Sib?"

"Needed an extra boost," she said, going to rummage through the kitchen. "How'd the first week go?"
no subject
Please don't mind the flexing, Sabine, he couldn't help himself.
"Just got in a good workout earlier today, actually. No classes to get in the way. So weird! But not a complaint."

She debated steering clear of anything that might cause more flexing, but found herself asking, "Working out like training with something specific?"

Not much of either, actually, and his head tilted curiously. "Are you any good at that kind of stuff?"
The chick was wearing pieces of armor, sure, but it could just be a fashion statement. He wore motorcycle gloves and had never even touched one before, even if he'd like to.

Generally.

"Who are your people?" he asked, realizing that they'd spent so much time just getting his brain around this place last week that he really hadn't had a chance to get to know her hardly at all.

Well, he did think of something.
"Have you been in a war before?"

"Not really. Even if there are people who know what that is- and I don't have the first clue- I'm starting to think that can always be worked out," she said. "You'll be fine here."

"Well, first," he started, "the classes are dope, even the teachers are cool, and the there's so many great," girls, "people," Yang. "Dorms? Awesome. Danger Shop? MEGA awesome. There is a store here that had puppies and the dude just lets you come in and play with them."
Need he go on? How do you top Puppy Time???

And then the grin right back to smarmy, lifting his phone, give it a little shake. "But at least I still get to brag and really rub it in his face!"
no subject
Though she was wondering if he'd sent that picture he took of her to anyone now.

"Eh," Prompto chuckled as he waved a dismissive hand, "he's a prince, he'll be alright."
And Prompto had taken to his phone again, so he could pull up a picture and turn it toward Sabine to show her. "That"s him right there," he said, sounding pround and admiring as he swiped through a few of them. "Here"s us together. And hah, yeah, real cute with this one, huh? Oh, he hates this one!"
It was very clear that he could probably go on like that all day, but he would be kind and only make her suffer through the few. Besides, he never really knew when something embarrassing might pop up or something.

"Maybe you can get him to come visit sometime," she suggested, though she felt like that might possibly be trouble somehow? Just a hunch.
