1st floor lobby- Friday evening

There was still some stuff to do for the dance- the trip had really cut into creating some of the pieces- and so Sabine had set things up this evening to finish them up before tomorrow. There were newspapers set on the floor and supplies and paints-mostly blues- set up, and she wouldn't hate help here.

So she sent a text letting some people know where she was, and even if no one showed up she was still pretty happy.

Lana had utterly skipped out on the booths, so she felt somewhat obligated to help out here.

She took a look at what was set up and considered the options. "What's left to complete?"

"Mostly coloring in backdrops for the photo booths," Sabine said, nodding over at them from her spot on the floor. "I drew some outlines, but you can ignore that and do your own thing if you want."

Lana shook her head. "I wouldn't know where to begin." She went over to the backdrops and took a look as she sat down. "Is that a Mon Cal?"

"Of course." They lived under the sea! "But a vampire Mon Cal, because that's apparently a popular costume here."

"Of course." Lana grinned and went for the paint. "I'll try to do him justice."

"Thanks for the help," she said. "I feel like I ran out of time on everything."

The party and subsequent totally-not-a-hangover didn't help.

Lana shrugged. "This is certainly something I wouldn't get to do back home."

"Would you want to?" Sabine asked curiously, looking up at her.

Lana thought about it. "Not on a daily basis, no. It's a little fun, though, getting to do different things. I like it."

"It's not bad," she agreed. "I'm not always sure what the point of something like this is, but maybe things don't always need a point."

"Things can be fun or beautiful in their own right," Lana agreed. "Sometimes it's easy to forget that, I think."

"True. And for times like that," she smiled, "we have lovely vampiric Mon Cals."

Lana grinned. "I wouldn't want to run into him in a dark stream."

"Luckily you don't have to," Sabine said, frowning down at her work. "This blue seems to be getting everywhere."

Lana glanced over. "Is there a way to make it...thicker, or something? Or do you want a rag?"
