Second Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning
Vette had come home late last night from the bar, wired on weird Japanese sodas and feeling altogether disgruntled that, even at a party for people from her galaxy, she and Hera were still the only non-humans at the bar. She'd made her way into her room, muffled a frustrated scream into a pillow, and had let the siren call of the sugar crash sweep her away, laying there face-first on her bed, fully clothed and everything.
And so, when she'd woken up this morning, she at least had fewer problems than she otherwise could have had. Getting out of bed had been an adventure that had mostly consisted of climbing down the bedsheets. Getting out of the room had involved enlisting one of the squirrels as a guide through the walls with promises of a whole bottle of rum just for him whenever she was capable of lifting her wallet again. And, once she got into the common room...
She stood on the floor, staring up... and up... and up at the fridge, the tiniest Twi'lek to have ever graced the dorms with her presence, small and insignificant in the face of the impenetrable ziggurat looming before her.
"I HATE THIS PLACE!"

Eh, she'd try them.

"I wonder if we could make it up to the freezer. Ice cream sounds good." Lana shook it off. "We might as well go for something we know is good. I'd hate to think what bad food would do to us at this size."
no subject
"I mean, you're welcome to get stuck in the freezer if you want to," Vette replied, grimacing a little. "It really is breakfast-Hoth in there, you know?"
That would be a horrible way to spend the weekend. Freezing to death next to some ancient chicken nuggets.

"I'm pretty sure my fish is up there," she replied, and was already climbing up onto the nearest tupperware container so that she could heft herself up to the next shelf from there. "Just have to... reach..."
Being short was dumb.

"I almost had it!"
... But she was up there now, so she was picking herself up and looking around for her fish all the same.
"And if somebody ate my leftovers, I swear I'm gonna..."
Never mess with a Twi'lek's food.

Someone was going down. She still had her lightsaber.

"Hey, this looks promising!"
It was definitely a takeaway container from somewhere, anyway. And the contents didn't smell rancid or anything.

Sometimes, it paid off, okay?

"That's a great question!"
A pause.
"... How high up is the microwave, again?"
no subject
Hm. Would Force lightning heat it up? ...Probably not.

Vette frowned a little at that.
"So... I guess we could... start a fire?"
That was a terrible plan.

She eyed the container. "Close it really tightly and push it down?"
no subject
"Sure. Even if it hits the floor, it's a food mountain. Most of that's gonna be salvageable."
And she wasn't picky anyway. She took her side of the lid and hauled down on it, trying to get it to snap back into place.
no subject
"There." She made her way around behind it. "Okay, so, on three?"
no subject
"On three," Vette agreed, stepping around the container. "One... two..."
This would end in tears.
no subject
"Three!" Lana pushed, adding a bit of the Force to it.
no subject
And Vette pushed too, and....
"... Poodoo."
That was breakfast all over the floor.

"That's true," Vette agreed, leaning over the edge and frowning down at it. "And I guess it'll probably keep for most of today, right? So we're set for food for... at least until this evening."
Not that she wouldn't just eat it tomorrow anyway.

"Down's the easy part," Vette protested, laughing a little. And then actually looking down. "... But I mean, I'll never turn down an assist."
