Second floor common room, Saturday

She'd woken up this morning, slipped into meditation with the ease of long habit, and in the course of quieting her mind realized she didn't know why she was doing it. Or where she was. Or who she was.

It probably should have been more frightening, but she was getting no sense of danger, only confusion.

There was another girl in the room with her, but she decided to let her sleep. Keeping calm, she let a feeling of rightness draw her out to a room down the hall from where she'd woken up, where there were an old-fashioned refrigeration unit and cooking surfaces.

"Well," she said aloud to no-one, "There's no reason to tackle this on an empty stomach."

Eggs. She could cook eggs, even if they were all white.

"Maybe I'm a terrible person, too," she said. "I could always keep all the eggs for myself."

"Well, sure you could," 05953234 said easily, folding his arms over his chest as he tilted his head her way, his grin almost a little conspiratorial, "but are you going to?"

"Maybe," she said. "If you're not nice, I don't have to help you."

And so far he was being a bit annoying, really.

"It's not like you'd starve; you can always make your own."
