Third Floor Common Room; Saturday Afternoon [03/02].
With his usual morning workout routine out of the way, Prompto headed back to the dorms to get Girl fed and comfortable back in his room, then headed on down to the common room to take care of feeding himself. He'd been looking forward to a delicious and convenient Cup NoodleTM practically the whole time he was out, so there was a little bounce in his step as he headed on over to one of the cabinets that was always stuffed with them and grabbed the first one, singing a little under his breath as he ripped open the top.
And out popped something small and furry, shaking itself on the counter for a moment before hopping off the side of it onto the floor, and then moseyed its way out the door.
"Uh...." said Prompto.
Cautiously, he grabbed the next one in the cupboard. Opened it. Out popped another little furry dude who pretty much followed the other little furry dude out the door. The same thing happened with a third, a fourth.
Alright. Maybe no satisfying and easy Cup NoodleTM today. Maybe he'd have some cereal instead. But when he opened that box, there were three of the little furry dudes in there, and Prompto just shook his head.
"Okay," he decided, "maybe today's just a day for ordering pizza..."
Luckily, someone had remembered to spay and neuter their tribbles, otherwise they all might have been in a bit of...trouble.
[[work is dumb. Have some tribbles living in boxed food items, idk. open!]]
[[and now in the right month/year, too!]]

So now he had to go and start opening all the boxes and letting them out!

"How do I know," he said, finally, leaning toward Sabine and whispering a little as if afraid the furry little dudes might hear him, "if it's even the right choice??
"You're the big sibling in this situation right here," he added, the whisper almost faintly accusatory. "That makes you officially more qualified to handle it than me, sooooooo...."

But he was clearly being guided by some second thoughts right then as he looked almost forlornly into the box of Pop-Tarts. And then set them pointedly back on the shelf.
"But maybe they like it in there," he reasoned. "They wouldn't have bothered getting in if they didn't want to be there, right?"
He still felt kind of bad, though.

"You," he declared, "are absolutely no help right now, you know that?"

It was a big sister thing!

This...clearly called for desperate, last-measure puppy-dog eyes. With maybe an attempted wibble thrown in for good measure as he looked after her retreating form. He reached out for a moment, before his hands fell to his clearly poor, broken heart.
"Don't hurt me like this, Sabine."

Okay, so he hadn't said the exact words, no, but he sort of figured it was implied that Sabine could recognize a man in desperate need.
So he sighed a little, hung his head and hunched his shoulders with what he figured was the appropriate amount of humility and shame, looking at her through a bit of unruly bit of unruly hair as he said, "Sabine? Would you please, if you could find it somewhere in the your kind and gracious heart, help me figure out what I'm supposed to do about all these little furry dudes getting all up in our food?
"...there is going to be pizza later," he reminded her. He felt that was an important detail that may have been forgotten.

"Find a big box, see if they'll all jump into it?" she suggested. "Or just try the empty pizza box."

Especially when that hapless idiot hadn't even thought of a big box.
"A big box," he repeated, thinking about it, his head slowly starting to bob as he came around to seeing how well that would work, and he grinned a little. So simple! Yet so effective! "Yeah, that should work. Clearly, they like boxes and containers and stuff, that shouldn't be too hard. But then what...? Maybe...take 'em to the shelter? I mean, I have a key, we can get them all set up and everything in there, and maybe when the vet or Summer come in tomorrow, they'll know what they are and what to do with them."
no subject
"The shelter's probably the best place. At least you should have space for them, right?"
no subject
He flashed her his most crooked grin. "See? Now that wasn't so hard, now, was it?"
Plus, it may have actually saved her from Prompto going to go see if a certain sneaky blue friend of his might be willing to help him try to sneak of a few dozen or so of those little guy into Sabine's room tonight...
...it was a little brother thing!
