Shooting Range, Tuesday Afternoon
Yang knew what was going on. And no, she wasn't super-thrilled about it. Yes, she had a boyfriend, and very very nice make-outs, but that wasn't enough to take the edge off her itch.
But what better way to work off her excess energy than some target practice? She set up one of the lanes with the options for moving targets, cranking it up to the highest setting possible.
Yang and her precious Ember Celica were going to have a work-out, followed by some maintenance and tweaking and disassembly and reassembly and another work-out and--
Look, you deal with hormones your way, Yang will do hers. And maybe later, she'd take her motorcycle out for a spin. On the mainland. Away from all....this.

So...yaaaaay?
But his antsiness, his fidgeting, was amped up pretty high. He was able to calm it a little with this distraction of classes, but they swung back pretty quickly right after that. He wasn't going to ever suggest he be put behind a gun right now, that would be a terrible idea, but he was searching for easily the best distraction in the whole place. After hitting up the usual places he'd think to find her, that eventually just brought Prompto around the shooting range.
And sure enough, there she was, in all her guantlet blazing glory.
Even if he had wanted to interrupt, Prompto wouldn't have been able to, because a sight like that was enough to make him weak in the knees on a normal day.
Day like today...he was donezo. Nobody breathe around him; even a slight breeze was likely to just knock him over.
Goddamn, he loved this school.

Yang's hair was lit-up almost pure white, and her eyes were edging from pink towards red as she went at the targets, gauntlets blasting.
She'd put pictures on her moving, rotating targets, to give herself as much of a challenge as these things could manage: Grimm -- Grimm -- White Fang -- CIVILIAN NO SHOOTIE -- Bandit -- Grimm -- Bandit -- White Fang...
She was gonna be spending some time repairing these poor targets later.
It took Yang a few rounds to notice she was being watched, which, UGH said a lot about her concentration and awareness, and she lowered her gauntlets, eyes blinking back to her normal purple. "Oh! Hey, cowboy. You looking to shoot off a couple rounds too?"
...that sounded WRONG get your brain out of the gutter, Yang.

Aaaaand then he realized that, yes, that actually did leave his mouth right now; one thing this whole pollen thing seemed to give Prompto that he hadn't had before was a weird sense of boisterious confidence that was leaving his inner self faintly mortified. But, at the same time, he really couldn't feel bad about it, either.
So while one part of him wanted to just die right now, the other, currently stronger part, thought that was the most brilliant response ever, making for a wobbly sort of grin before it all just got taken over by gushing. "I was actually just looking for you and...damn, Yang. I mean, wow, that was just...just...incredible."
For, like, soooo many reasons.

(Not that 'shoot off' wasn't bad enough, but still)
Yang flushed a little, and hit the button to bring her targets to a standstill. "Yeah? You should see me in action," she laughed, her gauntlets powering down and sliding back into their bracelet configuration with a flick of her wrists. "Target practice is fun and all, but it's standing still. I'm much better when I can get into it and get physical."

"Yeah, well," he said, "no doubt about that. But. Uhhh... I, uh, didnt mean to interrupt or anything. I was just, you know, wondering what you were doing, if you were busy. Which, I men, obviously, you are, so I can totally come back later? Or just chill out and watch. Maybe I'll take Girl on another run, or something, and maybe, when you're finished, you can come over and we could, I don't know, do....something, or...whatever."
Oh, gods, he was rambling but he couldn't stop, and there was SO much fidgeting, and where had that weird confidence gone now? He must have lost it in the ramble.

Running was totally a safe way to send time together. It'd hopefully burn off some more of her energy, and then she could go take a nice cold shower.
...or end up in his room and--NO. COLD SHOWER.

And, while he was there, he had to take a moment to admire the handwork, turning over a piece in his hand and chuckling. "Oh, man, you sure showed these targets whose boss, huh?"
no subject
...she hadn't really meant to make that sound suggestive, but, well, too late to take it back.

...with the targets! He totally meant with the target, but as soon as he said it, he could only think about helping her out with other things, and, maaaan, he hoped it didn't sound like that's what he was saying.
Or...maybe he did. Because that would definitely be on the table, yes.
Ahhh, he was just going to bounce on over here and swipe up the next target now!

It took Yang a moment to pull herself back together, and she blinked for a second before she realized he was picking up the targets and DUH of course he'd meant that.
Besides, his bouncing was always really cute, and Yang was just going to stop picking up shell casings for a moment to watch him, a fond little half-grin on her face.
"You sure? It's gonna be messy when I come back," she laughed, going back to picking up the spent cartridges. "I've been thinking of ways to improve the moving targets, so I'm probably going to take everything apart. Dive in, get it all going better, faster, harder, stronger."
YANG. NO.

Prompto was going to look up with a slightly hanging jaw for a brief second at that one before he laughed, shaking his head, because, geez, was he in a mooood, or what? It was okay, though, the run would work it off, and...if it didn't...well...
"I don't mind a little mess," he said, though that was very, very untrue, Prompto hated messes, but there were exceptions for adorable and charming banter, right? "I'll be happy to do anything I can to help you up your...performance."
Oh, man, that sounded baaaad.

WAIT. THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE MEANT. MOSTLY.
