Second floor common room- Thursday evening

Sabine was very much over this week. She was making it to classes but had called out of work today, and she felt pretty okay with that.

So to the common room it was, where she'd thrown a frozen pizza in the oven because she felt bad ordering one, and then regretted it when it had turned out to be covered in unexpected anchovies.

All right, fine, she was going to sit by the water and sketch what was out the window and ignore the pizza. Someone else please eat the pizza.

Nina was... probably not going to eat the pizza. Sorry, Sabine.

"Saaaaaaaaaaaaaabiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said brightly as she wandered in. "Oh my gosh, hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How're you?????????????"

"Kind of missing the dinosaurs," Sabine answered, looking over at her and waving in greeting.

"The water isn't all bad," Nina said, since it certainly made life an adventure and she was usually down for adventures. "And, like, the book shop is loving the water!!!!!!!!!!!"

"But, like, I think I preferred the dinosaurs too. Do you think, maybe, they'll come back next week??????????????????"

"Probably not. We're probably up for something totally new, I'm guessing," she said thoughtfully. "Did you say the bookstore was loving the water?"

"Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Which really, really did sound weird, Nina knew that as she wandered over to where Sabine was.

"I, like, don't know why, but seriously--hang on, I've got video of it--the shop is so happy right now????????????"

She wasn't selling many books but, hey, that was okay.

Nina flipped through her phone until she found the video she'd sent Rufus of the books just gaily swimming, in schools of books, doing flips, hiding around the shelves to play what looked an awful lot like tag, in the water--the place totally flooded, straight up to the ceiling. But the books were having a blast. "Look!!!!!!!!!" she said, offering her phone to Sabine.

Sabine took the phone to watch, and looked really amused by it.

"This is much better than the alternative," she said. "It's actually kind of cute."

"I probably spent too long watching them play," Nina admitted, with a laugh. "But it's funny watching books do stuff like that!!!!!!!!!!"

"Did they do anything when the dinosaurs were around?" Sabine wondered, offering the phone back.

"Nothing really," she said, taking her phone back and tucking it away. "Which is, like, a total tragedy, but maybe they were just confused?????????? I was pretty confused by the dinosaurs. We, like, don't have those where I come from?????????????"

"Me, either. We have some pretty big creatures, and some are reptilian, but I've never seen anything quite like that," she said, and paused. "But I haven't been everywhere."

"We've got some lizards and things, and even stuff like land sharks, that I don't think exist here, but..............."

Well, here was just as weird as anywhere else, really.

"Isn't your home, like, huge????????" Nina asked. "Is it possible to see everything there??????"

"I doubt it. I guess if you had nothing else to do you could see it all, but I'm not sure you get to see much of anywhere at all," she mused. "I've still only seen a little corner of it, really."

And there were some places she just all out avoided.

"Is there, like, anything you really want to see?????????????" Nina wondered, taking a seat on a nearby chair, tucking her legs under her.

"It's probably cheating to say 'a lot,'" Sabine mused. "I'd love to see Garel. One of my favorite artists is from there and it'd be nice to see where all of that came from."

"Would it be hard to get to Garel????????? Or is it just, like, you haven't gotten around to it yet??????"

Which, hey, Nina couldn't judge. There was an awful lot of the multiverse out there.

"Haven't gotten to it." She would eventually! And the option was always there to ask Kanan. "I've been cut off from being able to get home for a while so that's cut into my travel plans a little."

"Cut off?????????" Nina blinked. "Like, you can't get home at all????????? Like Vette can't?????????"

"Yeah. I've gone back a couple times with Kanan to his version of our galaxy, but the one that I came from is blocked off," she said.

Nina frowned.

"Like, Vette can't get to her universe," she said slowly, "but I can get to her universe. Did you want me to see if it's just you that's blocked????????????"

"You can try," Sabine told her. "I'm not exactly in a rush to get back, though. As long as if works itself out eventually, it's okay."
