2nd Floor Common Room, Wednesday Morning
Vette was... not looking so great. Wasn't feeling so great, either, but her response to the throbbing headache and the grey skin and the claws, beyond a frustrated screech, was mostly to decide that she needed to rend something with her... increasingly sharp teeth. Really, with the way her head was changing shape and the somewhat unexpected new dental situation, she was starting to look more like a Twi'lek male when she looked in the mirror, if not for the horror eyes situation, and the fact that her ear cones were remaining cones, hooray.
Anyway, the solution to today's frustration (it was even frustrating that she only felt frustrated, that she couldn't find it in her to panic about this, but at least she was able to think, wasn't necessarily having a repeat of the vampire situation and that hadn't been permanent) was clearly to go rummaging through the fridge, head-tails twitching angrily behind her, looking for the biggest, most raw-looking slab of meat she could find.
... An entire package of bologna would do. Nobody mind the snarling grey Twi'lek furiously gnawing her way through that while trying to find something she actually wanted to watch on the television this morning. Really.
[OOC: Open! I had to infect Vette, the game gives me a (nightmarish) companion customization that is perfect for today, how could I not?]

She was never going to look at tentacles again.
She wandered into the common room for something to snack on, blearily raising a hand in a wave to Vette as she walked by.
Then she stopped, suddenly much more alert, and slowly backed up to get a better look at Vette.
"Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Vette. How you doin'?"
She was really hoping she was still dreaming.

Funny thing about that. Vette's lekku were starting to sort of look a little bit more like tentacles than head-tails, weren't they?
"Fine," Vette snarled. Yes. With some actual snarl thrown in for good measure, apparently. "Never better."
... She was not.

Mostly the teeth.
"Uh huh. Glad to hear it. I was asking 'cause, you know, there's been some kinda bug going around."
Oh god, was Wayne getting claws too? What the hell was going on?
no subject
"Yeah," she replied. "I've noticed."
She'd long ago mastered the art of throwing her head to toss her lekku over her shoulder to mimic human hair, even though they were prehensile and she was perfectly capable of just moving them to drape there on their own. Today, she didn't bother. One just seemed to slither, entirely of its own accord, to rest more comfortably over her shoulder, wrapping around her neck like a horrible, perpetually twitching scarf.

She was babbling. It was that or just make unhappy animal noises and go hide under her bed.

"Good morning," she said, also definitely not sounding unsure about that.

Sabine didn't look like she was turning gray or growing claws, but Mae felt it was worth checking to be sure.

You'd been here longer than she had, Sabine! Clearly you should have all the answers.
no subject
Granted, it was Wednesday, things changed on Monday, and this was happening inside the supposedly safe dorms.

Vette, meanwhile, had no issues with staring, looking at Sabine with a sort of silent intent, though it was difficult to tell just what she might be thinking by looking at those eyes of hers.
"Good morning," she replied, folding up a piece of bologna and then biting through it hungrily. "You're looking good."
Better than Vette, anyway!

"Hungry," Vette replied, after a moment's thought. "Itchy? I think I'm itchy, but maybe I'm just angry at my skin, I haven't entirely decided which it is. Could be either. Maybe it's both."
She wanted to scratch, but her nails really weren't conducive to that anymore.
no subject
Look, she was trying to narrow some things down.

She was also hungry, though that bologna of Vette's… no, she decided, not worth it to even try. Nina was kind of bitchy today, but Vette's mood seemed worse than hers, so…
"Miss Dozy and Foomy are hiding in the closet," Nina reported, which probably should bother her but at the same time they'd been getting so annoying that Nina, like, didn't care if they hid.
She hopped up onto the counter, the better to steal all the cookies that weren't hers.

"Good," Vette muttered. "I hope they're super happy in there."
Some of that bologna was dying a horrible death, at that.
Apparently she was a little irked about the pets hiding, yes.
no subject
Normally, she would offer to share the box of cookies she came out with. Nina was not sharing as her not-yet-claws-honest tore into the package.
no subject
"I did snarl a bit," Vette admitted after a pause. "When Dozy started hissing."
Ungrateful little...
no subject
It was so annoying.

Hello to you, too, Mae.
"Someone really needs to check that hot spring."
no subject
"Why?????"
no subject
Had Nina not noticed? Because it was kind of super noticeable.

"How're you doing?" Sabine asked her.
no subject
She was still mostly rational, though, really.
"Avoiding mirrors???" Nina added, a bit grudgingly. She knew she looked weird. And she felt weird. But there was ignoring the weird and there was embracing the weird.
no subject
"We all have off days," she said lightly, hoping to put her at ease a little. "At least we're in a good place for working out aggression."
