Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [08/12].
Even as toys, you don't [CENSORED] with tradition!
It was Monday morning and Wayne (who would eventually start to take umbrage with the fact that they'd gone and made him a lumberjack when he was clearly a farmer, but had not yet made that distinction) headed down to the common room to make breakfast like he did every Monday morning, and it was a good thing that the process of making breakfast pretty much just involved taking already made plates out of the fridge, pretending to warm them up on a stove, and then setting them out, because it would be really hard to manage much more with those little C-shapes hands of his.
But, as it was, he set to the task of 'making breakfast,' and, before you knew it, 'breakfast' was served!
And the eggs were looking mighty tasty today, especially, if you asked him.
[[ I knew I was forgetting someone! Open common room is open! ]]

She let out a little roar because her manufacturers didn't actually know what sound a black panther made, and then said, "Good morning!" because all plushies talk. Just ask any kid.

"Morning!" Wayne chirped back cheerfully, flipping a little plastic disc of eggs perfectly in his frying pan. "How are ya now?"
Hungry, he hoped!

Sure!

The better to tell they were eggs, of course!
"I'm a growing panther, after all."
She was not. She was stuck as a 8 inch plushie forever.

"There ya go!" he announced proudly. "Eat up!"
Or don't. Because it was just plastic and you were only supposed to pretend to eat them. He assumed. It didn't seem like it would be good to actually eat them, but, heck, what did he know? He was just a toy.

"Delicious!"
Sure!

"Well, you know there's plenty more where that came from," he assured her. "'Specially what with being a growing panther, and all."

"Excellent choice!" Wayne complimented, and set to work to cooking up her a batch of perfectly golden brown pancakes....because those were the only ones they had.
"So," he ventured, while he gave the pancakes a little time to 'cook' and maybe give them an expert little flip as well, "any exciting plans for the day?"

Still...that wasn't how a Roomba was exposed to be used! And he really didn't like having to be cross with Shuri, he really didn't, but it was for her own good! He didn't want her to get in trouble and tossed into the Toybox for it, and then he'd feel even worse because he hadn't said anything.
But on the other hand, they were exposed to have fun, weren't they? And that did sound like a lot of fun for her. So now he really didn't know what was the right thing. Was it better to do things like you were exposed to? Or better to have fun, even if it meant doing something you weren't exposed to?
So that simple line of a mouth of his switched on around to a frown.
"That's not how you're exposed to use a Roomba," he ventured, with a note of doubtful uncertainty to his drawl.

Wayne was pondering this with his arms lifting slightly, then lowering, then lifting again, as he slowly came to the horrified realization that he was currently physically unable to cross his arms.
Oh, no.
He didn't like that at all.
But he couldn't exactly say anything about it, either, so, after one more effort, his arms just fell uselessly and uncrossed at his side.
"Well, mebbe," he said, tried to cross his arms again, and then barely managed to hold back his frustrated grunt. "Just mebbe, supposing that you were really there to be cleaning, then I suppose ridin' on the Roomba would just make sense, because, well, then you'd not only be cleaning, which is important, but you'd also be having fun doing it, and, well, havin' fun while you're cleaning, well, that's just takin' care of two birds with one stone, isn't it? That's just being smart. And productive! And that's just good, now, isn't it?"
He...honestly wasn't sure. Fu---heck!

Sure, let's go with that.
"Are you okay, Wayne? You seem a little...unhappy."
And we can't have that, can we?

And Wayne felt himself already going to move them to try again, but, of course, she was right, he was seeming a little unhappy just then, now, wasn't he, and they really couldn't have that! So he tried his best to forget about his arms for a moment and just focus on happy things, which at least seemed a bit easier today than it would have been for him naturally.
"Oh, m'good," he assured her with a smile. "S'just a bit worried, is all, thinking maybe you'd get in trouble, but that's a bit silleh, isn't it? 'Course you won't. Yer a good toy, just helpin' out, and you'd do a dam--darn fine job of it, too, I'm sure of it."
And his smile went a bit bigger, too, just to show that he really was happy, he didn't need to cross his arms, anyway, that wasn't a very nice gesture to do around people, anyway.
"An' if yer happy, then I'm happy."
Everyone was just happy, darn it.

This would be such a terrible time to snap out of things...

"They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, too!" she chirped. "It's a good way to fuel us up for a day filled with fun and play! Wayne's such a good toy for making sure we all get that, isn't he?"
She might be fawning a little bit, but she could not express how good it felt to walk into a common room filled with so much cheer and joy this morning! She'd been so worried, and now she almost felt a little bit bad that she'd been so worried in the first place. Of course all of her classmates would be good toys! She hoped it didn't make her bad that she'd have doubted that even for a second!
On the other hand, Karla did tell them they needed to be vigilent...

"Wayne is the best," she agreed because she always thought that was true, fortunately.
