Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [09/09].
Two weeks in a row now, Wayne woke up, got dressed, checked his hawkey fights online, and then headed down to the common room to start making up Monday Morning Breakfast without anything strange or untoward happening. He opened the fridge and found everything precisely as it should be, waiting for him to get to work and get crackin'.
Well.
Except the milk.
"Fuck a duck."
It was purple. Purple. Not even blue, like Lana's weird alien blue milk, but honest-to-God purple. Wayne made a little disconsolate sound in the back of his throat, because he knew milk weren't exposed to be purple, but it smelled alright. It tasted alright. He waited a moment or two to make sure it didn't make him grow a tail or give him spots or make him think he was the Queen of Fucking England or nothing like that, and, for all intents and purposes, it seemed like just regular old milk.
Only purple.
He planned on using it sparingly, but he did sort of wonder if the girls might actually like that it made the pancakes look just a little bit prettier this week.

"I told you it was Monday, Delirium," Barnabas said patiently.
"That's different than finding out myself," she said cheerfully, "but now I know!"
And yes, this girl liked very much that the pancakes were pretty. "Ooooh! Purple! Pretty! May I have two, please? And some bacon for Barnabas?" Beat. "Also please?"

A plate of two pancakes for Delirium, a plate of bacon for Barnabas, and he went to set the latter down on the floor and handed the former over to Del with a "How are ya now?"
no subject
Del skipped to a table with her pancakes and set down Barnabas' plate for him. "Thank you! How am I right now? I'm very happy because there are pretty pancakes! How are you today, Wayne?"

Ah yes, the battle cry of Nina, who bounced in looking delighted and like she'd gotten a rather lot of sun over the weekend.
Because she had.
Also, there was a bluebird trailing in behind her.

Which was true. Though she wasn't just talking about the location. Mmmm.
"How are you???????????????????"

"Morning."
It was hard to follow Nina, okay.

And it was appreciated that she didn't try to follow up Nina or, worse, outdo her.
"Sabine," Wayne nodded a greeting to match her own. "How are ya now?"

And she had, of course, made something else before coming up.
"I've brought tea," she said, by way of greeting, with a soft smile as she came in, holding up her flask, "if anyone would want some."
Because that coffee stuff was terrible, and, even though it helped with the hangover a bit, she couldn't see why anyone would drink that over some good, proper tea.
They would have to use the common cups, though, because the look she imagined on Kalr Five's face for even thinking of letting ungloved hands touch that tea set was enough to convince her to only bring it out for special occasions.
Ones where everyone would be properly dressed.

Looking significantly more alive than last week, he could tell her that much already.

shamelessly moddedmug that Wayne had held out, even though hisshamelessly moddedsharp movements to do so threw her a little. "Thank you. Smarter, at least, going into this next week. And how are you?"no subject
Since there wasn't caf, she generally made do with coffee, but tea was a good thing.
Then, because she remembered, she pulled on a pair of gloves before reaching for a cup.
"How was your first week here?"
no subject
"It's been....enlightening," Tisarwat said with a small laugh, holding the flask ready to pour Lana some tea once she had her cup. "Very...interesting and eventful, and I still feel there's so much more still to learn, but it seems there will be time. How has your week been? Probably not nearly as exciting."

"Weird," she stated darkly. "Did you know that the ethics teacher is a jerk? Also? One of the bars is owned by a vampire or something. And apparently books can fly."
She took a bite of the stale pop tart she found made a face but continued eating.
"I'm not sure why this place is the way it is but apparently it's all here to freak me out."
