Second floor common room to the sixth floor- Friday after classes

Sabine was bored. She was in that kind of mood where inspiration wasn't really striking, she'd just finished a bunch of projects and now there was nothing good on TV. Mostly she was on the sofa, flipping through channels she'd already flipped through, wondering if maybe she should put on Netflix and see what autoplayed.

Or maybe people would come by to keep her entertained?

And then it's to the sixth floor!

This is not how the world ends.

Jules was indeed also bored, and had decided to attempt to alleviate said boredom by seeing if anyone else was doing anything not-boring.

"Hey," she greeted Sabine, Camden padding along behind her. "You look like you're having about as much fun as I am." Which wasn't much.

"You look thrilled to be here." Trevor didn't look any more excited than her.

"You ever have those days where you're bored of being bored?" Sabine asked.

"So many channels, and there's nothing good on any of them," she complained.

"No awful horror movies?" For him to judge.

"Uh huh," Jules nodded, snorting a little as Camden flopped on the floor with a dramatic whine of her own. "How can there be so little to do?"

Maybe it's because the past two weeks had been jam-packed with all sorts of weird, today's mundanity was just a little too mundane. Or something.

Sabine frowned. "Maybe there's something we can all do together?"

She was not one to suggest group activities, but it was that kind of day.

"I think they're moved on from that and onto Hallmark Christmas movies."

She'd veto that. She wasn't that bored.

Oh, look. It was Keyleth's Trevor! Jules perked up a bit, briefly, as she spotted him.

"This is the worst," she complained.

It was not remotely near 'the worst' she'd ever experienced, no, but in the months she'd been at Fandom she'd managed to pick up certain mannerisms and figures of speech.

"Like what?" Juillenne mused. She'd already explored the island on her own, including the Preserve. So that wasn't an option. Although...

"Ever wonder why this building's so big when there's really not that many of us?" she asked. Like, why were they spread out over four floors when she was reasonably certain they could all fit on one, maybe two?

"I have," Sabine admitted. "I don't even know who's on the upper floors, except that sometimes the sixth floor common room mysteriously throws parties for us."

"A party sounds real good right about now," Jules admitted. Since she was not an adult and had therefore not been to last night's party!

Wait, Keyleth's what now?

"Could do with some of that free food," he agreed.

"What." EXPLAIN THOSE MOVIES TO TREVOR. YES.

You know, the guy she brought adorably cheerful baked goods to! And who then reciprocated with baked goods of his own... the guy who was ready to throw down with someone on the fall break trip for staring at Keyleth's ears. That Trevor.

"Apparently there's cheap candy in town now?" Which wasn't really food and also not the same as free, so.

"It's entirely possible there is one," Sabine said. "Who even knows?"

"Two people fall in love over Christmas, or just in time for Christmas, or despite Christmas," she said, shrugging. "I've never seen more than five minutes of any of them but I think they're all the same movie with new actors."

"We could go see?" Juillenne suggested. Anything had to be better than this.

Keyleth wasn't bored so much as she was in the mood to try a little socializing after her work shift.

"Oooooh, is anything interesting going on?" she asked, because it made sense to assume that when she saw several people gathered in a common area.

Luckily Trevor's voice actor had too much resting murder-face for that.

"I think I'd need booze for that."

THAT WAS ONE TIME. HE FELT VERY ATTACKED BY THIS NARRATIVE.

"Free stuff at the library," he said almost cheerfully. Almost.

"Literally the actual opposite," Juillenne complained. "We're bored," she gestured to the common room at large.
