2nd Floor Common Room, Friday Morning
Nina was on a quest!
A journey! An adventure!
There was a naked cat in the bedroom and she needed to find it clothes! There hadn't been any clothes that had fit the cat in the bedroomthat had been within reach, which meant that she had to venture out and inspect other drawers and cupboards because the poor thing was going to get cold!
And everyone knew that cats didn't like hats very much.
(The naked cat had really not liked it when Nina had tried to put one on it, at least.)
The naked cat had refused to come with her (Nina had the scratch on her arm to prove it) and the friendly pink jelly blob had made funny noises at her and while she'd been giggling had rolled under the door and away.
Which was just another reason to go exploring! Maybe she could find the jelly blob and make friends with it? That'd be so fun--
But quietly.
If she was quiet, after all, she wouldn't be in anyone's way and no one would notice her and that would mean she'd be a good girl and her game wouldn't be stopped so she wasn't in anyone's way.
Nina poked her head into the open door and, seeing that no one was in there, tiptoed her way over to all the big drawers, ignoring the soft looking couches and the big black mirror things. She peered into the metal box with the handle on it and the metal bars inside of it and opened the humming box that turned out to have some food in it, though she didn't touch any of it because it wasn't hers and she didn't know what a lot of it even was and even the fact that she was able to read some didn't help her out.
What was mar-jar-in anyway?
She found a bag of rice in another drawer, once she'd abandoned the humming cold box, leaving the door ajar accidentally, and then a bunch of pots and pans, which made her think she wasn't going to find clothes in what might be a kitchen but, really, now that she was here she had to check all of them, right?
That was what adventurers would do! Right!

She was going to hate that she'd admitted that after the weekend.
"Sneaking is a lot of fun though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It was important for this mission Sabine had just decided they were on.

"My dad's really nice," she said, because she hadn't yet learned the art of deflection. "Where's your mom and dad?"

Nina giggled.
"That means be lots and lots of loud, right??????????????????????"
It was maybe not Nina's first time being a distraction.

"1! 2!" she chirped, bracing herself to be as loud as possible. "3!"
Deep breath!
"SUNSET ON THE MOUNTAINS, THE FALL TREES AGLOW,
BRILLIANT SHADES OF AUTUMN - CRIMSON RED, TAN, YELLOW.
MAPLE LEAVES AND IVY ADORNING THE TALL PINE TREES
WEAVE A BEAUTIFUL PATTERN HERE AT THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
That children's song was... not meant to be bellowed that way, no.

"AUTUMN LEAVES AT SUNSET ON THE MOUNTAIN STREAMS AFLOAT,
EACH LEAF A SHADE OF AUTUMN - CRIMSON, BROWN, YELLOW.
MAPLE LEAVES AS THEY DRIFT NEAR THE BANK AND AWAY
WEAVE SUCH BEAUTIFUL BROCADES AS THEY GO BY."
