2nd Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Had Nina planned on having a party when she'd woken up that morning?

Nnnnnnnnnnnope!

But, like, really when the gremlins had burst into her room that morning to carol at her about some harking herald singing or something like that, Nina had a) hid under her blankets and made a despairing noise because ladies were supposed to be woken by soulful serenading and not… that… and b) had started pondering ways to use this since it was clearly the method of madness that the island was going with today.

Hence. A party! Then all she'd needed was a theme, to really tie it all together, and the island did tend to lend itself to a certain direction…………… so, like, some frantic Googling (she loved the internet), some tromping about in the snow being trailed by gremlin carolers as she bought things and then, by evening, she had it all ready to go.

Okay, cool. Email sent out! Now to see if anyone else was willing to help her do this or if the rest of the dorms would just be subjected to her idea of holiday decorating! Mwahaha!

And, in the corner, on the impromptu stage she'd set up for them, the caroling gremlins sang their little hearts out.

[Email was sent to all current students. If your character wouldn't use/get email, feel free to mod having run into a bubbly Nina who babbled about the party at you. Also, naturally, open common room is open! Plz hold for small OCD is up, run free!]

Tisarwat had just gotten back from a silly, wacky tea party that had apparently lasted two weeks, even though she'd felt like it had only been half a day, and she'd gotten back just in time to get Nina's email. The last thing she would think of wanting to do, especially since the whole 'getting eaten by a locker and sent to a different dimension' thing was giving her such headache...

...but it was in the second floor common room, so it was on the way to her room. So she couldn't help at least poking her head in the door to get a lay of land. She didn't think she'd stay long, but she couldn't help wanting to at least look in on things.

After all, with what she'd just been through...just how bad could it be?

Considering who had sent the email in the first place and the sheer amount of punctuation involved, Tisarwat should have expected a greeting like that and braced herself for it, but she had not. She was a little time-displaced at the moment, though; she felt that should be understandable.

Hopefully, though, she managed to keep her small wince of pain unnoticeable, and she considered just moving on with things, or just being honest. After all, this was Fandom. Stranger things had happened.

So she feigned the smallest of smiles that didn't at all reach her lilac eyes. "I've apparently been stuck in a pocket dimension in one of the school lockers for more than two weeks."

That faint smile went a little rueful. At this rate, she wouldn't be surprised if Nina just thought Tisarwat was constantly suffering from headache pain.

...which wouldn't be too far from the truth, honestly.

But the bossy, polite tone made the smile a little more genuine, as well as a bit wistful. "Some lovely tea from a lovely person," she nearly sighed, moving into the room and likely about to curl up on the couch, "sounds perfect, Nina, thank you."

For having been at a tea party (for two weeks, no less!), there was so much hubbub and nonsense around that table that Tisarwat wasn't sure she'd even had much tea at all, really!

So...Tisarwat would definitely be curling up on the couch, yes. Even if it weren't for the headache, everything suddenly felt very surreal, like everything was still topsy-turvy. It was evening, not morning. They were in the second floor common room, not the third, and Nina was serving her tea, not the other way around. How could she even be sure she'd wound up in the right dimension when she'd left the locker?

...definitely questions for another time. For now, she mostly just had one persistent one that kept coming back to her as she settled in.

"Is it really the sixteenth?"

Wait, no, make it two, she realized, as she looked around the room in earnest.

"And what is all this stuff?"

As she asked it, though, her memory jogged something out.

"Is this for the...gift giving holiday?"

Seivarden hadn't told her much about it, but the tone had always been disparaging.

Then again, that was sort of Seivarden's default tone, as well.

There was no avoiding a deeply grateful sigh there, after Tisarwat breathed in deep to pick up on the various aromas. "Thank you," she said again. "You're right, Nina, that does smell lovely."

Even for what she assumed was an Earth tea, which she always found...lacking.

"So..." she added, her tone going a bit tentative, "I'm almost afraid to ask, but what exactly have I missed in the last two weeks?"

Besides all her classes...

Tisarwat clung to that cup, all but wrapping herself around it, and just enjoying that for a moment before taking her first sip, especially since she was fairly confident in her faith that Nina, unlike her last host, wouldn't suddenly swipe the cup away from her just as she was about to drink, insisting on some nonsense about changing cups or changing places and making everyone run around the table.

She was still partly thinking it was all just some sort of fever dream.

And she was going to need to just drink quite a bit more of that tea to chase it away before she gave any sort of response, but she got around it it eventually, with a slight tilt of her head as she lowered the cup finally.

"Fun things?" she asked. "From what I've heard, I was under the impression that the stuff that happens this time of year were anything but."

Then again, she knew that her source on that was a bit...biased.
