Third Floor Common Room; Sunday Afternoon [03/22].

Prompto was definitely having himself a good, lazy Sunday. Well, maybe not so lazy, since he did go out for his usual run and shooting practice, buuuuut, now that that was out of the way? LAZY CITY CENTRAL, BABY.

He had, somehow, also managed to find himself catsitting a certain Miss Dozy, in that particular way that made it very clear he was catsitting a certain Miss Dozy because a certain Miss Dozy wanted him to be catsitting her. And that was totally fine by Prompto, because what else when better than lazily crashing on the couch than having a nice little snuggle buddy?

Well, maybe not so snuggly, what with Miss Dozy's hair (or lack thereof) situation, but she was a totally comfortable little purr monster sitting on his chest as he laid out on the couch, idly watching some freaking adorable cartoon about some guy and his chocobo going through some dungeons, or something? He honestly wasn't entirely sure, because he was only paying half attention to it, the other half of his attention going into a little bit of dozing himself because that purring was just so, so soothing...and this couch was really comfortable...

Now this was how you spent a Sunday afternoon!

"What???????????? No My Little Chocobo???????????????" she said, meandering in with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and making a beeline for his couch.

Move your ass over, big brother.

Hey, hey, hey! It wasn't just her big brother she'd be displacing, but her YouTube star as well! Prompto, who was not only comfortable but at the mercy of a little cat goblin that looked like she had no intention of being moved or disturbed, managed to move his legs over a little, but anything more that that would be a shift too far.

"I mean," Prompto said, "I don't think I've ever seen any chocobo cartoon playing in here before, much less MLC, but this is pretty good, too!"

For as much of it as he'd caught between dozing.

"There's adventures, Nina! Chocobo adventures! CHOCO-VENTURES!"

He just made that up. Yes, he was very proud of himself for that one.

Well, Nina was still going to squirm her way into what little space he'd left her, blanket and all, to snuggle on down.

"Choco-ventures??????????????" So sue her, but she was intrigued. "What's going on right now???????????????????"

"I..." Prompto took a second to blink at the screen, where the chocobo on the screen was explaining something, albeit entirely in warks and kwehs, but the main guy seemed to understand him perfectly. "...have no idea, actually. I've been only...kind of paying attention?"

If it seemed like he sounded a little guilty about that, well, he did kind of feel a little guilty about that.

"I swear," he offered up by way of explanation, "Miss Dozy's some kind of sleep daemon."

LOOK. HE USED DAEMON IN A VERY CASUAL WAY, NINA, YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF HIM.

...even if he was pretty sure Eos daemons weren't nearly as ugly as Miss Dozy.

SHE WAS SO PROUD OF HIM. You could tell by the way she draped her blanket over part of him.

"She really is," Nina agreed, snaking one hand out to reach over and pet Miss Dozy. "Like, and once she's settled she doesn't move, so it's super soothing to sleep to???????????????????"

Especially when Nina missed Vette all the time.

"But, like, how could you miss cute cartoons????????????"

"Easily," Prompto said with a laugh, giving Miss Dozy a little scratch on the top of her head that seemed to get that little kitty motor going even louder than it had been a second ago. "It's like a magic spell, or something. There's nothing you can do to stop it."

He gave the little bug-eyed goblin cat a grin, though.

"Nice, though. I'm glad she decided I was catsitting today."

He was going to stick with that perspective instead of the idea that crossed his mind that maybe the poor thing needed a break from her stardom.

Besides, like, even though she was one of the villains, Sir Foomy's role was far more strenuous.

She could cope.

"Glad she decided to keep you company," Nina said, giggling. "Maybe she wanted to watch chocobos................."

"Maybe!" Prompto agreed cheerfully, before tilting his head at Miss Dozy in mock thoughtfulness. "She doesn't seem to be watching too closely, though, she mostly seems content to stare at me with those creepy eyes and purr."

Not a complaint!

Not even about the creepy eyes!

"Although now you have me wondering what she'd think about real chocobos."

"I feel like her most important consideration would be 'can I sleep on them'????????????????" Nina mused.

Because.

Well.

She'd met Miss Dozy.

"Ohmygod," said Prompto, eyes going wide. "Can you imagine sleeping on a chocobo?"

And then his eyes closed, shoulders lifting slightly, as close as he could get to expressing a sufficient squee while lying on a couch with a cat on your chest and a sister practically sitting on your feet.

"Ibetitssosoft!"

Yup. That was pretty much all one word.

Nina eyed him.

"I mean, like, they're cute and all," she ventured, "but they're also basically enormous murder chickens................"

She would not be sleeping on one.

He would! One glorious day, if camp cutscenes were to be believed.

But, for now, Prompto was just giving am offended, strangled spuns and nudging Nina with his foot in a move that could have been considered a kick if you squinted.

"How dare you!" he protested, obviously cut deep to the quick with such accusations. "They are not murder chickens! Believe me! I know murder chickens, we had them in bird hat class!"

Besides, if anyone got to talk about murder chickens, that would be Sidon.

There were just different kinds of murder chickens! Besides, Sidon's murder chickens were also immortal and that was terrifying.

Nina squealed in outrage that was mostly fake.

"Look at their beaks and feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she protested. "They could easily be a murder chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if you met other ones in bird hat class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"If beaks and feet were all that were required to be considered a murder chicken," Prompto argued, "then that means any bird could be a murder chicken. Beaks and feet do not a murder chicken make!"

"Is that a show?" Sabine had to ask.

"Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she enthused, ~~since L.S. and I have declared it is~~. "Like, oh my gosh, it's so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Warkena's my fav., she's so clever but, like, Kwehtie-pie's latest arc was really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Those are names?" she checked.

"Most definitely," Nina assured her blithely.

They were terrible names.

"Uh huh. That sounds..." She took a moment to search for a word, and came up with, "interesting."

"I mean, like, I only watched it at first because my brother's into it," she said, vaguely apologetically. "And, like, because I needed to understand the pop culture references to it............."

Nina shrugged a little.

"But, like, it's still pretty cute????????????????? Moogles are better, but Warkena makes up for the lack of Moogles............."

"I'm missing out on a lot, apparently," Sabine said. "I don't watch a lot of stuff."

"I watch a lot more now that I basically have my own show," Nina admitted. "Like, before that it just seemed like a waste of time????????????????"

"Is it like inspiration now?" Sabine wondered.

"Kind of?????????????????" she said thoughtfully. "Like, not for plot-ideas???????????"

Nina had about a million of those.

"But more for, like, how to frame things????????? Or set them up so it comes across a certain way on screen?????????????????? Definitely for stuff like that??????????????"

"That makes sense. I do the same with art a lot," Sabine admitted. "Why not use it with storytelling?"

"Because the way you tell a story is individual," Nina said, shrugging a little. "Like, if someone told you and I the blurb for the plot of the first episode of a show and told us to expand on it, well, we'd both expand on it different ways?????????????? And Sir Foomy, being a lone hero, is already a very different story than a group of friends???????????????"

"Exactly. Though I would absolutely watch the adventures of Sir Foomy, lone hero, even if it's not my story."

For example.

Nina grinned.

"Then, like, the reason question is: why aren't you already watching his adventures?????????????? They're up on Youtube!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Wait, they are?"

That answered that.

"Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee," Nina complained, even as she fished out her phone. "Like, oh my gosh, I'll send you a link to my channel..................."

"In my defense, I didn't know," Sabine pointed out.

"Well, like, then I hope you're ready to binge-watch a bunch of Sir Foomy's adventures," Nina said as she texted the link to Sabine. "Because, like, we're a few seasons in at this point................"

"...How many seasons?" Should she be concerned?

“The fourth season started airing last week!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she said happily.

... fear was probably the correct response.
