Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [04/06].
Wayne was just a bit skeptical about using the eggs that morning, since he'd opened each carton up to a colorful array of dyed and painted ones, but the eggs themselves seemed fine after one experimental batch, so he figured it was just the island doing it's thing.
"Yer a bit early, there, bud," he said, to...the eggs, he s'posed.
But, then again, next monday would be too late, and it was better too early than too late.
Either way, there was breakfast, and a sense of relief that it was only the outsides of the eggs that were painted.

And being afraid was probably, ah, slightly prudent because despite the early hour--and Nina was slightly early today--Nina was already trailing glitter like it was her job.

"Nina," said Wayne, nodding to her finally after a lingering, suspicious sort of squint at the trail of glitter in her wake. "How are ya now?"

"..."
There was a lot of thinking being processed in his head just then.
"...not so bad. Fix you up a plate?"

Wayne loaded up the plate as per usual, with all the expected fare, wondering if Nina might be one to notice the colorful shells leftover from the cooking process or if, for all he knew, all those eggs they kept putting in their ice cream where she was from all looked like that anywhey.
"Did you know," he then said, offering out the question as he offered out her plate, "that yer leaking glitter?"
After all, if he was leaking glitter, he'd want someone to tell him about it. It just seemed the polite thing to do.

She was going to leak glitter all week!

(Although, to be faiiiirrrr..........he was prob'ly pretty used to it by now).
"Ages," Wayne repeated, with a particular pedantic quirk of his eyebrow, "Nina? Ages? 'Zat so?"
no subject
Sorry, Wayne.
She'd gotten sidetracked.

"'Cause I imagine," states Wayne, turning his attention back to the next batch of pancakes, "they're getting themselves prepared fer Easter."

Then considered the eggs on her plate. They looked normal.
"Aren't they, like, supposed to be chocolate????????????????"
no subject
Thank goodness for small graces!
"Now these," he said, in an attempt to explain, "are supposed to be painted eggs. Dyed eggs. Those are entirely different from chocolate eggs, which aren't really eggs at all, just chocolate shaped like eggs."
Because that was sure to be helpful, right?
no subject
"But, like, there's the candy coated eggs that are all different colours????????????????? That are chocolate inside???????????????"
She was just honestly confused.

"Multiple kinds of colored eggs," Wayne stated firmly, "can co-exist simultaneously, Nina! Figgur it ouwt!"
