Third Floor Common Room; Monday Morning [05/04].

Since this was the last Monday morning breakfast before the start of the summer session, before they were likeleh to get in a fresh crop of new students to take advantage of the Monday morning breakfast tradition, Wayne thought he'd mix it up a little.

In the very basic way that he tended to 'mix things up,' which meant doing crepes instead of pancakes and deciding to focus a bit more on some made-to-order omelettes. You know, where you could tell Wayne what you wanted in yours and he would probableh judge you for it.

And, of course, mixing it up also meant he'd gone and made a nice quiche, because, fuck. Who didn't love a good quiche every once in a while?

But next week, it would definitely be back to the old standards, on account of the fact that the best intro to Monday morning breakfasts would be to stick to the tradition.

Okay so, the thing was... Ulysses was yet to actually go to bed at all. Or, he'd been in bed for most of the night, but had not ever made it to the part where he was supposed to close his eyes and not be awake anymore.

So his week was off to a great start.

Not that it was super obvious when he ambled into the common room, mind you: 'disheveled and slightly dazed' were apt descriptors for him most of the time, regardless.

"... Ohh, that smells amazing."

"Fucking starving apparently," Ulysses replied, looking down at his midsection after his stomach growled. "So I guess half a bag of stale Cheetos don't keep a person going, who knew?"

He knew.

"Please," Ulysses said as he looked up again. "I mean, uh. If it's not too much trouble or anything."

Considering Uly's general difficulty with Monday mornings and despite having been here for Monday morning breakfast at least once before, he was still only somewhat aware of the whole tradition.

Also he'd just talked to his mom a couple days ago, and that always triggered some extra politeness in him.
